This ski resort on the western edge of the Dolomite Mountains has a reputation for being family-oriented, and there’s truth in that. The majority of the 19 slopes down the Doss del Sabion are for beginning or intermediate skiers, but there are a couple of more difficult runs. Reviewed By mzajkoMy wife and I spent our one year anniversary at the Chalet and were swept away by the magical experience energetic Eddie has created for his guests. The Chalet is situated about 10 minutes from town secluded on the hillside with an epic view of the soaring mountains. There is no better view to rise each day to. Breakfast and dinner provided by the resident chef are not to be missed with local ingredients sourced to create a gastronomical delight. The spa is a secret spa downstairs is a hidden gem, make sure to relax after a long day skiing the beautiful dolomites!

Extremely clean with easy access parking, The morning breakfast is offered in open well lit area with abundance of great selection of food presented in individual containers that serves well in our current pandemic situation. We were extremely impressed by the staff on how friendly and welcoming they were. So much so, that we will return in the future.

The staff were all lovely, service was very good, the food was mediocre (given Italy has fantastic food available), the ski room was good and the location is fabulous if you want to ski and lousy if you dont. Little to no sound insulation between rooms meant we were treated to a range of interesting shared experiences (!) This hotel literally shares a building with the Groste Express Telecabin lift and ticket office. That takes ski in ski out to a whole new level of immediacy. It is also next to the car park for the lift. The bar of the hotel is the go to place for the staff who work on the mountain to grab a last minute cappuccino before their shift or to kick back after. You can expect a mob of engineers, drivers, attendants and instructors every day. This is NOT a criticism, but if you envisaged a quiet romantic place, this isnt it. The noise level wont bother you if you get up to ski, but forget sleeping late. The thunder of ski boots starts about 8.10 am. The central air vacuum system also makes sleeping late problematic. This is about a mile and a half from the village of Madonna Di Campaglio. There are buses if you dont have a car but they are a little idiosyncratic on their timing. Currently Italy requires the highest level of masks be worn everywhere - most people actually ski in them. Limits on some lifts in terms of numbers of people sharing a cabin. We had to check in at the ticket office everyday to have our vaccine status updated on our lift pass even if you buy a multi day pass. Every restaurant required vaccine status.

Especially he pays kind attention to children. Pros of La Locanda: In the morning you can get fresh juice; Gianni makes good coffee to all clients; Good breakfast (same every day); Rooms are very clean; Next to hotel is a bus stop; 5 min away by foot from the hotel is "Pineta Wellness" center where you can go to SPA only for 20€/person; And all that I have mentioned you can get for very good price! Breakfasts were delicious with a choice of coffee and eggs and the room was very comfortable for us. The property has a parking and accessing the ski lifts was very comfortable, you can store your equipment in the garage which is great. Thank you Federico!

The owner is a very kind & friendly family, they're always available for any requests. The hotel is brand new and all rooms are quite, very clean and functional. Had a great staying in Garnì San Lorenzo, fully recommended.
