Charming owner and very comfortable

I stayed in Domus Lillio while I was on a nature tour with a group of English people in May. We only took up three rooms in Domus Lillio, because it's a small B&B. The owner, Giuseppe, was charming and helpful and made us delicious breakfasts - lovely fresh walnut cake and omelettes using eggs from his own chickens. The B&B is near the centre of town so you can walk everywhere from it and get lost down the side streets (always a plus in this kind of town). My room had a lovely balcony looking over the rooftops of Petralia and was very comfortable and snug. I slept like a log there. Thank you Giuseppe for all your help and guidance.

Good quality, lovely staff, fantastic pizzas!

I organised a walking tour in May for a group of English people and many of us stayed at It Castello. The staff - particularly Francesca - could not have been more helpful in the run up to the trip - they even organised additional places for us to stay in town because they didn't have enough beds. All the guests were happy with their rooms which were spacious and well appointed, and the staff were charming throughout. The general feel of the place is lovely, and it's in the centre of town which means you can walk everywhere. We all ate in the pizzeria on the first night and had some of the best pizzas we'd ever tasted. If I organise another tour I will definitely go back to Il Castello.

The cities of Petralia are worthwhile visiting, even if they might not be in the traditional top 5 of "place to visit in Sicily" Both for the cities as for the nature in the surrounding.

Lovely location & very friendly staff

Reviewed By WoodNomad

Perfectly located overlooking the Bay of Naples with lovely gardens. Our room was outside the main building and had a large terrace which was ok but on reflection could use some modernising. We would have preferred to be in the main building, an old monastery. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The dinners were unfortunately quite bland and were included in our all inclusive break with Riviera Travel. No simple, traditional Italian pasta dishes (spaghetti, pizza etc) which I think we and other guests were rather looking forward to. Instead, sadly bland and stodgy UK café type fare. Continental breakfast was fine. I would gladly return here on a bed and breakfast basis and stay in a different room.

Beautiful Villa; Excellent Service

Reviewed By Familyof82015

We spent a week here. The owners are simply wonderful and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. The cook is excellent. We hosted a party for a group of 25 people and it was perfect -- better than I could have imagined. The owners surprised us by hiring a musician for our gathering. It was a thoughtful and wonderful gift and made the atmosphere even more like a dream. Only cautionary note is that the villa is not air conditioned. It was not necessary when we were there as the villa sits on top of a mountain with breath taking views in all directions. There was always a cool breeze and it could even get chilly at night.
