Straight from the airport, we went straight to this restaurant for lunch.The menu seemed modest but very neatly written & presented.The dining area was also catchy with a classic European theme.The satay and the nasi lemak deserved compliments. Their flavours were well balanced and rich in textures.The only mistake was to include raw zucchini in place of plain raw cucumber. If they had used Japanese cucumber then it would have been perfect.Keep it up and for patrons, donât miss out on this hidden gem.

A good people-watching location on Love Lane...nice food selection. Service was rather 'relaxed' on both my visits. They were busy on my first visit so forgiven. The second visit they weren't busy and service a bit lacking. Nothing wrong with taking things slowly on a holiday but a little disheartening when a service charge is applied to the bill.Hi Mervdunia, thanks so much for your 2 times and review. We are cafe & bar located at tourist spot whereby our ambiance is towards relax way, we apologize if our speed did not meet your expectation. However we have to clarify that WE DIDN'T COLLECT SERVICE CHARGE, the bill is subject to 6% government tax which is impose by the government. (the bill is clearly stated 6% Government Tax). Have visited this place a couple of times and so happy to find that the service and food have remained consistently good. This is something commendable, as many times restaurants in Penang simply are unable to keep up their standards overtime. The ambiance in this new location is not as hip as before as the many paintings covering the stretch of the walls are gone. Quality and quantity of food gives value for money.

We came all the way to try their amazing pancakes and we arrive at 11.20 and they only serve pancakes after 12. Kind of disappointing that the meals that they advertise in their menus have timing to be served. Unfortunately we left without trying their meals.

The dinner for my motherâs birthday was most enjoyable.Service was good.The food was delicious. After entree and main most of my family could not have dessert so serving portions have increased.Minor hitch: the security guard refused to let me drive in even though I told him I was coming for dinner. He did not seem to read even I showed him my booking on the phone. As our visit was during the haze period the Blue Mansion with its open air and ventilation was an issue. The furniture is custom made resembling 1950's vintage creating a homely atmosphere mixed with old equipment of the Chinese pharmaceutical company which owned the premises of the restaurant and boutique hotel. Lately it has been hard to find fish on the menu so I was delighted by the steamed Tilapia served with ginger, the best food this far on Penang. The front of the room opens straight to the busy streets of Little India, the ceiling fans create a nice temperature level. Service was very friendly and attentive, prices reasonable.

Thought it is a great restaurant but just an average after all. Nice atmosphere with live music. The first thing comes to me is the obvious stained glass of Pandan Jasmine Tea which should be seen by everyone yet it served to me. In my thought, the cleanliness of this restaurant is not what I expected as it should be. I'd ordered Grilled Chicken Kapitan which is not grilled at all. It looks like the boiled type. The chicken even has an unpleasant odor from the inside bone part which can tell the chicken freshness.Thank you for dining at Kebaya. We sincerely apologies for the lack of attention to detail to your dining experience. The chicken is sous vide first, then grilled and finally a sauce added to finish the dish off. The chicken is cooked sous vide first to retain the natural juices of the chicken, grilled for flavour and finally sauced to finish it off. We are surprised about the "odour" as the organic chicken is freshly delivered daily.
