a very well run B&B
Reviewed By Enzo560Have stayed overnight at the beginning of a short trip to the Cosenza area in Calabria. Rooms were impeccably presented and the dinner cooked by Simone, a young promising chef, was outstanding. There is also a pool in a well kept garden overlooking the town and the sea. Nothing else to say. Everything was nice and tidy. Mrs. Catalano turned out to be a perfect hostess. Abbiamo soggiornato per una notte all'inizio di un viaggio nell'area di Cosenza in Calabria. Le stanze erano in impeccabili consizioni e la cena cucinata da Simone un giovane promettente chef era veramente molto buona. C'e' anche una piscina in un giardino ben tenuto con belle vedute della citta' e del mare. la Sig.ra catalano e' stata una perfetta padrona di casa.;

Perfect overnight spot overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea
Reviewed By DocBmanExcellent ! Food, view, pool and most of all the staff were extraordinary. We camped right on a small stretch underneath the restaurant above the pool. Camper services with grey water disposal, water, electricity it’s all there. We found the spot coincidentally, Bellissima. Mille grazie.

It is close to the main square of the city, the Sanctuary of San Francesco of Paola and just minutes from the birthplace of San Francesco. The rooms are equipped with TV, minibar, air conditioning with climate control, direct-dial phone with reception and WiFi. Breakfast is served in an elegant room on the reception floor, but you can receive it in your room. We offer a free shuttle service to and from the sanctuary, the station and the beach.
Great Stay for a quick stop in Calabria
Reviewed By Adam BWe only had 1 night in the area and could not have been more happy with our stay at Sant Agostino. An employee was waiting for us at the train station to take us to the hotel. She provided a few quick recommendations on where to go in our limited time in town. The room was clean and fairly spacious. Simple, but decent breakfast, and the same employee was prompt in getting us back to the train station when we needed. If i make the trek down to this part of the country again, I would not hesitate to stay at Sant Agostino.

BBB - Basic Bed and Breakfast
Reviewed By Julia1402I agree to most of the positive comments: The owner is very nice, the location is ideal if you are on transit, the place is very clean and the little town is cute. However, it was very, very basic. I would have loved to have a small table or a desk and something convenient to sit, not just one chair which I used anyway to leave some things on in the absence of any other place. I would have also appreciated if there would have been a drinking glass or at least a plastic cup. So, I found it very, very basic and I was disappointed to be forced to put my computer on the bed for work but at least the internet worked very well. I also think it would be good to have at least one English TV channel. Considering the price it might be ok in this way. Unfortunately, the restaurant across the road was closed (Wednesday) but I found another nice place around the corner for dinner. Breakfast in the coffee bar next door was ok. I found a parking space in the same road and the owner bought the parking ticket for me which I found very nice.

What a welcome with a fantastic breakfast.
Reviewed By AnAnMSViews of the sea from the terrace and bedroom. The bathroom was clean, large and modern. Bed was comfortable and the house accommodated just six people. The top floor had it's own entrance by outside steps and this apartment could sleep four. A delightful setting and parking space in front of the house. Giovanni the owner gave us a tour of the town, took us to a lovely restaurant and asked the owner to give us a lift back after our meal. What kindness! Would highly recommend this B&B.

Reviewed By marellaWalesWe spent ten days at the Blumentag as a family. The owners obviously have great pride in their hotel. It is immaculately clean. It's a great location with walking distance to the beach. Rooms are large and have everything you need. The shower was more suitable for small people though. We had a couple of issues with our room which were dealt with but I do feel the rooms need updating. There was no sound proofing from backing rooms. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels etc. Breakfast was basic and indoors in a small internal room. I would love to see breakfast served al fresco and maybe in the bigger unused room as you enter the premises. We didn't eat there for meals. We used the shuttle service a couple of times but prices varied with whomever drove. Advice to always check costs beforehand. The Blumentag is a lovely little hotel but more like a B&B. It is well loved by the owners and obviously has a dedicated regular clientele. I feel to reach more international tourists though, there are some tweeks that need to be addressed. Would we return... Possibly.

Emilia made us feel at home and her house was amazing. The rooms were spotless and all our needs were fully attended to. We will be going back and will be telling all our friends and family to stay here too.

Reviewed By ChelseaP365Nice room in the heart of the medieval part of Paola. Great sunset views from the stairs leading to the inn and the upper rooms. The owners are very kind and the rooms are very quiet and comfortable. It is close to the center of town but a hike up the hill from the train station.
