Reviewed By jimmypenang55Small nice modern hotel. Good location. Friendly staff. Efficient check-in. Mr Peh who is in charge he is friendly and very helpful. I stayed at 2nd floor its OK for me. Older people can request for 1st floor as hotel does not have a lift. Room Clean and all electrical facilities working. Same row with hotel have convenient shop. Walking distance about 10 minutes to Chinese Restaurant Pasir Bogat ( kolo ) and few other restaurants around that area. To Pangkor Jetty you can get a taxi send you there.

Looks tiny from outside, surprisingly large on the inside
Reviewed By aziziazminI booked a last minute deal (very last minute), during peak school and xtra long weekend holidays. Fortunately, got a room (apartment-sized) at a very affordable price. RM350/n with rooms for 5 adults + 2 kids. And, I'm pretty sure you can cramp in more in that apartment if someone willing to sleep on the sofa. Basic amenities is okay. Large TV, fridge and coffee tea making facilities. The room is not that pretty with fancy deco, but its clean and will do for a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, there's no lift (elevator) to take you to higher floors. Have to walk up instead. Good cardio tho. Anyway, the hotel itself is within walking distance to the main jetty. We walked from the jetty lugging few luggage along the road. No problem (as long as its not raining). Its also close to a mini mart (Billion) and the town center (which is not that big). But you will definately need a transport to move around the island. RM20-25 for a one way trip to Teluk Nipah per van (sits 6 IINM) or RM10 per trip to Pantai Pasir Bogak, or..rent a car which is not that reccomended as you might get a really lemon and unsafe car! I know this because I rent a RM100 Proton Saga which probably made in the 90s, steerings all over the place, tyres without thread! Only found this out on the 2nd day renting it.. Good thing we are safe now. The Island has very dangerous sets of road, steep climb/downhill and curves. Take extra caution if youre driving on your own.

Quiet part of island close to Teluk Nipah
Reviewed By Faith_LiuThis is a nice place where we stayed for 2 nights. A little rough around the edges with stains on the carpets and bedding. The towels also look off coloured. But the staff was warm and obliging. As mentioned with previous reviews, they provide a shuttle service to Teluk Nipah to and fro. We basically got the restaurants that we patronised to call the hotel and they will pick us up. It's a great service. We stayed over on Thursday and Friday. It was very quiet on Thursday. So quiet that I mistakenly thought the restaurant was not in operation in the morning when I wanted to get breakfast. The menu was not extensive. You get to pick American or local breakfast, and choose how you want the eggs prepared (American) or the type of noodle you wish to have (local). It is a lot of food (came with bread, cereal, juice and fruits). We shared 2 sets amongst 3 and had leftovers. We tried to look for other food options for breakfast in the vicinity but it didn't look like anything was available. (Almost got attacked by monkeys while at it so do be careful) On Friday evening, some other families checked in so there was a bit of noise at the lobby but nothing intolerable for us. There was no wifi at this resort, and there is no safe in the room. It is regretful that we got a room close to the main road and not actually closer to the sea. It was still peaceful nonetheless and we did get a very good sea view during breakfast. All in all a relaxing and no-frills stay and we enjoyed ourselves.

Reviewed By KimmiszI am very happy that this resort has upgraded the facilities..there are many difference from the day that i have check in two years ago..the bed,the furniture condition were all upgraded..the kettle also had be given this time..aircond functioning well..the food and bbq that i enjoyed here also pretty awesome..the main point here is the room is big and the resort are walking distance to the beach..the staff also very nice..i had a good time staying here..and also thanks to the owner for doing a good job in upgrading the resort to looks better and to made us(customer) happy..i really recommend this resort?

Faded glory of days long gone
Reviewed By Trotter-RichThe pictures looked promising. The reality was all the more disappointing. The whole place is in disrepair. Loose fittings in rooms, faded and pockmarked wall paint, slightly mildewy showers, threadbare carpets. The breakfast was, sad to say, very narrow in options and absolutely unpalatable, whether the local (dry clumpy rice, some sort of vegetable and non-descript meat bits drowned in an incredibly salty soy or fish sauce of sorts) or the western options (I t’s terrible when you can tell that the toast and the jam are the cheapest of the cheapest they could possibly find)... The pool water was - I am not exaggerating here - murky. I seldom give one star but this one really was all they deserved - for the central location and for a clean bed.
