Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, and every other way of gliding across the snow is the favorite topics here, even when summer is in full tilt and Nordic walking and other high-altitude activities get added to the agenda. Two gondolas and a funicular on the edges of town whisk you up to the nearby ski resorts, which connect to a dozen or so more nearby. That’s literally hundreds of miles of easily accessible ski trails with one lift ticket. Back down in the valley, the après-ski atmosphere takes over the cobblestone streets.

Beautiful Family Run Hotel
Reviewed By 888julianbWe stayed here between 6th and 13th March and cannot recommend it highly enough. The hotel is immaculate throughout. The family who own it are kind and courteous and will go out of their way to help. They even gave us tips on best places to ski and how to navigate there. Breakfast was superb and when relaxing with a drink in the bar we were often brought a selection of meats, breads and snacks. They allowed us to sit in the wine cellar one evening and the spa facilities are excellent. I would definitely recommend this fantastic hotel to anyone visiting the area. Centrally located for quick access to the lifts and a great selection of restaurants nearby.

Reviewed By 766marjWhile I found obtaining information about this town, prior to arriving, challenging, this room was something I did right. Our room was very large by European standards, had a full kitchen, small balcony and large bathroom. We are across the street from a grocery store. Bank machine, bistro and bar are part of the property. We were offered swimming pool and bus passes. The gondolas are about 1 km from the premises. Ortisei is a pretty little ski resort town...the Dolomites are stunning!

But they provide pans and cutlery but the truth is you can't really cook with what is provided. Not even salt or oil.. Also no extra rubbish bags etc For us traveling in car it was not a problem as we just bought all at the supermarket near by and brought back home but for someone else this could be a huge issue

The apartment was spacious, comfortable, with an amazing view of Ortisei and the mountains - We loved everything during our stay there, the spa was amazing after a day on the slopes. The family that owns the hotel was very welcoming throughout our stay. I don't know when, but I will most certainly go back to Gran Tubla in the future.

Fully equipped, with fireplace and sauna on each apartment, very clean, amazing views and with parking space in the garage, which is very comfortable. Situated at walking distance to the center of the beautiful village of Ortisei, and to the ski slopes! Very friendly and helpful host! Highly recommended!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway
Reviewed By angelbengalOur stay in Tombla was amazing and even better than we expected. Karin and Willie are very kind people. We could check in later than normal hours and Karin left the keys in the safe and explained everything. Next morning she welcomed us personally. Apartment has everything you need to feel like home, even coffee makers. The WiFi is very good. The most amazing part is beautiful balcony with the mountains view, feels like in the movie set up. Tombla also has backyard where we could chill on the loungers. The city center is 10 minutes walk, the supermarket is 5 min walk, cable cars are also in a walking distance. Also Karin gave us free passes to the indoor and outdoor pool, one week bus passes and activity card. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Cristina is friendly and helpful, gave us Tips where to go hiking and how to get around. One of the nicest places we have stayed at. And the evening meal was very good!! Can only recommend it further, and we would definitely return there.

Wonderful host, perfect getaway

Perfect location right above the town for a perfect view, yet literally just a few steps to town and for the lazy an escalator to take you straight to town. The property was very easy to find. Parking was a big plus. It's an indoor parking with an elevator straight to the apartment which makes it easy when you have luggage. The apartment was spotless. I usually clean as soon as I get somewhere and even in 5 star hotels you can find dust somewhere but not at VIlla Hubertus. It was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped with cups, dishes, wine glasses, cutlery, coffee machine, espresso maker, tea kettle, dish towel, salt and pepper a dishwasher and dishwashing liquid Towels were provided, bath, hands and a tub mat as well as hand soap. Bed was super comfortable, closet was large with lots of room (on a side note, Gerald, the owner Is a carpenter and everything in the apartment is his handy work. It's easy to see the love, the work and the pride that goes into every piece). Gerald was a wonderful host. Responsive to all my email before getting there, received us with a warm welcome, and attended to all of our needs with a smile. A bonus with the apartment, Gerald gave us free bus passes to the different towns and free passes to the swimming pool in town (1 indoor pool and 2 outdoor pools). Gerald, we can't thank you enough for the wonderful 5 days in your home. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality. I am sure we will be back. Thank you for my gift, I will cherish it. That was very sweet of you.
