Reviewed By Ben LThe suite rooms were spacious and worth the upgrade cost. The staff were helpful and accommodating especially at the front desk and Chinese restaurant. The welcome drink was a nice touch. The hotel is not centrally located so not much nearby. Room temperature was very warm and the temperature control did not seem to be working. Breakfast buffet offered a wide choice of western and asian dishes and the quality was good. Only complaint was the breakfast staff was limited so getting coffee refills was very slow.

Reviewed By SusannaTanHad a really wonderful one night stay ! We arrived late (8.20pm) and needed dinner . Despite the kitchen closing at 9pm, the one single Chef was able to quickly cook a delicious meal for us. We had rice with a few dishes like egg plant, tomato & egg clear soup, fried potato slices with tomatoes, green vegetables. It was tasty and quantity was good for our group of 10. The rooms were a comfortable size with a very comfortable queen sized bed. The bathroom was also a nice size unlike some other Holiday Inn express that I have been. The breakfast spread was surprisingly good . It has hot dishes like fried rice, noodles, sausages, vegetables, noodle soup. And continental breakfast items like toast, over-easy eggs, boiled egg, breakfast cereal. salad, danish, and fruit. Not forgetting tea, coffee, juice. The lady who came to clear our plates from the table was very polite and friendly. I discovered a billiard room and a fitness centre in the basement. Unsure if I could get some balls from reception to play billiards. The fitness centre unfortunately was completely empty. No fitness equipment at all. Perhaps next time .... ? There is a laundry room with one washer and one dryer. Happy that I managed to get some laundry done! Thank you to the staff at Holiday Inn Express! Highly recommend to all my friends !

Gym is excellent
Reviewed By Matthew RThis hotel has an awesome gym at the rear of the building. Rooms are fine. Food is not great, staff is slow and not knowledgeable ( to the point of being unhelpful) and the overall atmosphere is pretty poor. I would only stay here for the gym.

Erduos Hotel - Impressive facade but rough around edges
Reviewed By OzMLI stayed at Erduos hotel with some colleagues last week, as we were visiting clients in the area. The lobby is very impressive, with lots of marble and stonework. During checking in (which was relatively quick), we were advised that we had been upgraded to suites at no additional charge. Based on the impressions of the lobby and outside of the hotel, I expected the suite to be very impressive - but was disappointed. The carpet in the lift was very worn, and it then set the scene for the rooms in the hotel. The bedroom was worn out, the bed very hard and uncomfortable, and the room was very hot. Despite adjusting the aircon in the room, this seemed to make no difference. On the upside, we dined in the restaurant on the second floor, in a private banquet room, and the service and food was excellent and highly recommended. The breakfast was included, and was a nutritious mix of local dishes, and was one of the most delicious I have sampled in China. If travelling to Erduos again, I would probably stay here, however I would not have high expectations of the standards of the rooms. They do not match the impressive lobby and facade of the hotel.

Reviewed By Good_PartnerIt's hard to find a hotel in China that is both centralised, room with no smoking smell, upmarket, reasonable priced and providing good service. This must be one. Room was well kept, both functional and well maintained (extremely hard to find in China even for 5 star hotels). Breakfast was decent but not outstanding. This hotel sets a standard for others to beat, especially in a smaller city like Erdos.

Conveniently situated hotel with helpful staff
Reviewed By Peter CVery conveniently situated to the modern buildings I wanted to visit - national theatre, museum, library. Spacious and clean double room with all amenities, including tea & coffee, bottled water, desktop computer/monitor, torches and facemasks in case of a fire evacuation! Leaky shower unit that flooded the bathroom. A change of room but with the same problem, although not as bad. Voucher for breakfast given out each evening but food not as tasty as southern Chinese food, in my opinion. Very helpful and patient receptionists. They tried to give me a lower hotel rate, but it meant cancelling the booking that was done via a 3rd party(ctrip). Unfortunately, it was such a hassle trying to do that, so I declined. Very minimal English spoken, but we communicated via a translation app. Please note that anything GOOGLE do not work in China - gmail, browser, on-line translation app, online maps, etc. I suggest a translator and map that you can download the data beforehand and do not need to be on-line to use them. Also a returnable deposit of 200 Yuan is required, so have local currency available. (A deposit of varying amount is required by all the hotels I have been in China).

Great location, excellent hotel
Reviewed By krautlandThis hotel pleasantly surprised me. While there are pockets of the city that are absolutely deserted this particular hotel is located centrally directly opposite to a large park. I opted for what they called a "Guest Room - with view" and received a corner unit on the 22nd floor that was surprisingly large, well-appointed and featured a very comfortable bed. Everything was clean and the staff went out of their way whenever I had a request. This hotel can accommodate guests who are not able to converse in Mandarin provided they are a bit patient.
