Horrible Staff

However , at arrival I asked front desk if they still accept small pets and she shook her head yes. Note manager was also at front desk and said nothing. Therefore, I booked online with you to find out when checking for charged for two nights, they changed pet policy and do NOT allow. Therefore, I could not stay. I requested refund and was denied. Apparently, front desk clerk spoke no English when she shook her head. I complained to Trip advisor and was charged one night. Hotel and you have LOST a customer.

Reviewed By B2902FHisaacsFiesta inn nogales has great location, easy access to the highway 15. The rooms are small and there's no coffee maker. The bed was hard and few TV channels. The restaurant is good and the prices are reasonable.

Such kind and compassionate staff
Reviewed By EKCarrWe only stayed a day but were in Nogales for a memorial for a friend who died unexpectedly this week, and the staff was incredibly kind and compassionate. The hotel has been recently updated and I am amazed at how much they put into it. Our room on the 7th floor had great views, the place was clean, and they accommodated our large party effortlessly. I got a sense that they cared deeply about what all of us were going through and really went out of their way to be helpful in our grief. We enjoyed lunch at the restaurant downstairs too, and we were so happy that they could handle all of us. The hotel has been radically updated, so if you ever saw this place before, you won’t believe what it is like now. I love so many of the details and really didn’t expect it to be nearly as nice as it was, especially in the public areas. The room I rented was fairly small and I definitely wouldn’t call it a luxury room, but it was cheaper than even cheap hotels in the US, and a great value. And it was certainly sufficient, quiet, and the retro elements were all in great shape, so I enjoyed it a lot. Plus it was very clean, which isn’t always the case in hotels in Nogales. The public areas are gorgeous, so it makes me think that there are probably more luxurious rooms available in different parts of the hotel. I love that they retained some of the best features of the historic parts. The elevator is especially cool. Also, our group was bilingual, but we noticed that the lobby and restaurant both had plenty of staff who spoke English. We also had no problems using American credit cards, which isn’t always the case in Nogales. I’d be impressed with the remodel on its own, but after this recent trip, I will always be grateful to the staff for the way they really take care of all of us. Their kindness was something I’ve never experienced from a hotel staff before.

Unpleasant Stay
Reviewed By Ramon OOn June 15, 2019 at around 2 a.m., I decided to stay here. Unfortunately, I did not have a pleasant stay and this is why... The guest that stayed next to my room blasted their music until 5:47 a.m. I made numerous attempts to contact the reception desk to inform them of this concern of mine; however, I kept on receiving a busy tone. The reason I did not walk over to the reception desk is because I did not want to make it obvious to the guest next to me that I had done a complaint against them and run a risk of retaliation. A little after 6:00 a.m., I spoke with the receptionist Maximina H. and informed her of my concern and she said, "You should have called us so we could have sent the security guard sooner." I told her I did, but I kept on getting a busy tone every time I tried to call. She then replied, "Well, there is no reason why your phone wouldn't work." The tone she used made me feel like if she believe I was lying and as if it was my fault why I couldn't get rest. I then asked for the manager's name she said, "Carmen R." Spoke with the manager and said I would need to speak with the director, "Carlos J." Spoke with Carlos and he stated that he was able to check the cameras and their system and he discovered that the phone that was in my room was not working and they were not aware of this. I then explained the customer service that I received was very poor, and he apologized. He further said that the only thing that he could do was give me a 20 % off discount (equivalent to approximately $12 US currency) for the inconvenience in my next visit because it wasn't them who created the noise and they have no control over their guest behavior. I then asked him to place himself in my shoes and he replied, if it were me that couldn't sleep I would have gone by foot to the reception desk and informed them of the situation. I believe the least I should have been given was a complimentary night for all of the inconvenience that I experienced during my short stay. Perhaps customer service is not their priority. I highly recommend staying at Hotel Caribbean. It is only 2 minutes away from this hotel.

Cabe mencionar que este hotel no era así, era un lugar muy limpio pero pues Están descuidando mucho el higiene

Good location
Reviewed By bakphoenixThe hotel rooms are pretty up to date and look nice. No surprises if you are familiar with Fairfield. Check in was fast and friendly. The location is away from downtown and the area seems nice. Nogales Mall is steps away and has Starbucks, a great food court (including sushi and take away salad bar) . Even a casino if you want to go some low stakes gambling to pass the time. Oxxo and Walmart are also in walking distance. It’s about a 20 minute Uber or taxi ride from the border. Very safe to walk around day or night.

Reviewed By Dan VThis hotel is nothing upscale but is very clean, excellent location, good AC and heat when necessary, semi bilingual staff, and functional room amenities. Also, next door is a classic Nogales long bar & around the corner an all purpose restaurant.

San Carlos is much better
Reviewed By Robin KThe only thing that is still good at Olivia's is the food. Rooms just get worse and worse. San Carlos is closer to the border and there are bookers across the street but it is ok it is after all Mexico. Don't give grouchy dirty Olivia any more money ... Except the food is still the best in town.

Reviewed By breannekay79this hotel is very old and definatly needs some TLC. it is a very old hotel and has not been kept up very well. the pool seemed to be clean but we did not have time to swim there. the resteraunts were good and the staff was very helpfull. there were security guards all around so i felt very safe there. the bed was rock hard and the bathroom needed to be updated. it did however feel clean.
