新居浜市役所の近くにある新居浜では有名なお店。ランチ時にはかなり待つこともあります。私はここで初めてそばのおいしさに触れることができました。そばの風味を活かして作られており大変おいしいです。おつゆもおいしいので大満足です。天ざるなどが非常に値段が高くなってしまうので基本的な盛そばがお勧めです。

銅山の跡地を活用したレストラン、アミューズメント施設です。温泉などを整備した人気スポットでもあります。ここの産業遺産は実に素晴らしい、長年、実際に使用されていた施設と建物がそのまま今に残っている。鉱山観光も出来ます。

This is a small and very decent restaurant in Niihama. With a typical Japanese style setting, the restaurant only serves 6 to 7 groups / tables each night. Each group will occupy a small room with good privacy. We made our reservation in advance by email and the host is very friendly and responsive to our enquiries.
We picked the "Trust the Chef" dinner menu. The Chef came to our room and explained to us the details of each dish professionally. He also kindly served us with very good green tea and antique tea pot set. This made us feeling like VIP. All the food and drinks are very nice, tasty and well crafted. Staff are very friendly and kind as well. Given such a high standard of service and food, the price level of this restaurant is still very reasonable.
A highly recommended restaurant if you visit Niihama or nearby. Noted that there is not many staff in this restaurant and likely only one staff can speak English, you may need to be a bit more patient if you cannot read or speak Japanese.

楽しみにして訪問しましたが、口コミほど、たいしてカフェとしては今一な感じで、店内もひろめだけど、素敵なこともなく、こだわりの感じられない内装。カフェ、とゆうよりは、喫茶店。
あまりわざわざ訪れて、という気持ちはおきません。

まずはコンビニでおにぎりを２個買ってから、この店に行きました。テイクアウトで焼きそばを購入してホテルで夕食としていただきました。量的に足りないと思ってコンビニでおにぎりを２個買ったのは大失敗です。焼きそば大盛りにしたら、２人前以上もありました。焼いてもらっている途中でキャンセルもできないし、仕方なく夕食を焼きそばだけにして、おにぎりは翌日の朝食に変更にしました。焼きそばの材料は豚バラ肉､キャベツ､モヤシのシンプルなものです。でも大変美味しいです。持ち帰りは鰹節と青のりを別にしてくれるのがよい心配りです。

This restaurant was very crowded since it serves good Italian food and is conveniently located close to the train station. The wood-fired oven pizza was delicious, as was the antipasto plate. There is better Japanese food in larger cities, but this restaurant provided a surprisingly good meal in an off-the-beaten track town.

四国にきてから年の瀬の習慣として食べに行くことはあまりないのですが、（蕎麦屋さんがない）割と余裕のある年の瀬だったのでふらっと立ち寄ってみました。予想以上の大盛況に駐車場に駐車できず。なんとか入店しいただきました。おいしいのですが、麺がいつもと違う？まあ年越し仕様でしょう。

別子銅山が閉山後、商売の中心も大型ショッピングモールに流れ、昔ながらの商店街はシャッターが目立つ新居浜市。
そんな中、古びた構えの和食料理のお店を見つけ、ふらっと入ってみた。
入ってすぐに生簀があり、アジやアコウなど瀬戸内の魚が元気に泳いでいる。
瀬戸内ではジャコと呼ばれるテンジクダイ（大きさ２ｃｍ程度の小さな魚）を唐揚げにした後、南蛮漬けにしたものをアテに日本酒が進む。
メインは、アコウ。関西では煮付けでたまに食べるが、新鮮なアコウの活け造りをいただき、淡白で上品な味に舌鼓。
イチジクの揚げ出しも珍しく、大変美味しかった。
お酒も堪能して6,000円ほどだったのでお値段も良く、美味いお店にあたって幸せであった。
その日最初の客であったが、時間が経つにつれ、多くの地元の客でにぎわい、また仕出しの注文も相次いで、地元民に愛されている店だと実感。
また、うかがいたい。
