Reviewed By RuhrpottTravelFoxesA perfect combination of tradition and history and amenities of a modern hotel in an old building surrounded by an orange and olive orchard and lots of greenery with modern comfortable rooms and apartments. As we stayed here during low season, we happened to be the only guests for the night, but we were welcomed very professionally by the staff and the owner looked after us very enthusiastically in the evening and gave us an interesting tour of the premises in the mornining, introducing us to all the fruits they produce. We were not able to taste the dinner praised by many high-season travellers as this is not offered this time of the year, but in our apartment we found a well-equipped kitchen to cook our own food. Compared to some of the older pictures here on Tripadvisor, there has been a recent upgrade of the dining area in front of the house: it is now a glass annex building with proper dining tables. Looked very light and nice! The pool was the favourite of our son and we enjoyed some refreshing baths in the sun as we were really lucky with the weather. We can highly recommend the location for visiting the Alcantara river and to catch a view of the Etna mountain from the nearby mountain village of Motta Camastra. Unfortunately we did not have more days to spare, otherwise there would be plenty of interesting things (town & villages, some castles and ruins, hiking) to fill more days.

Each tent has its own private bathroom with hydromassage shower, ktichen and comfortable beds. we are in the natural park gole alcantara, close to alcantara river. every tent is in natural wood and respect the nature around it.

La Porta delle Gole is a new b&b situated in the enchanting scenery of the Alcantara Valley, at less than 1 chilometer from the famous Alcantara Gorges. The room has a private bathroom, desk, air conditioning, Free Wi-Fi and Free private Parcking. It offers an Italian breakfast served in a common room. Furthermore our b&b has a private beach with a direct access to the Alcantara river. There our guests will admir an heartbreaking landscape trought the basalts and the Mediterranean scrub!

Reviewed By Global25912490828This is an amazing place that is hidden midst the mountain side. Rooms were excellent and the natural views around were absolutely breathtaking. Being able to roam among the orange trees just to discover the private river that runs through the back of the property was a fantastic memory for us to come back with. The owner/manager was fantastic and addressed anything that we needed. If you are looking for a place to unwind and relax, this is it.

Reviewed By Robert AExcellent hosts, food, and accommodation. If travelling with children there is a lot to explore. Hosts - Filippo and Rita make sure your stay at the agriturismo is a good one. Every evening, we were served with the food of the day made of their own local fresh produce.

Reviewed By AnastasherIf you're planning an agriturismo in Sicily this is a very good option. It's cheap but it's a very relaxing place with a nice pool and greenery all around. In the farmhouse itself there is a restaurant where you can have dinner,at an additional cost.Breakfast is good but it focuses more on sweet stuff rather than having both sweet and savoury options.The rooms are equipped with an ac which is nice. The staff is friendly and helpful.
