Walked a fair distance to get to this restaurant thanks to the recommendation however was a little disappointing. The service was ok I suppose but wasn't outstanding. The food was ok, fresh and served very quickly. I wouldn't say it lives up to its comments for us? Highlight for us was walking back to our hotel on the beach and through the lapping shore!

We visited this restaurant during our stay in the nearby Park Albatros camping. The restaurant offers local Tuscan seafood dishes. Staff is surprisingly good in English, service is smooth and above all food is very tasteful. One of the best places in the area to call themselves restaurant and not an ordinary tourist trap.

Given the high rating on Tripadvisor (5th restaurant in San Vincenzo) we were expecting something special. The location is indeed special, but otherwise food and service are average. The starter was tasteless, the first course was good. The service was not very attentive and too hasty. On the whole disappointing, given our high expectations.Tkanks for your feedback.The disappointment is probably due to our formula at lunch time, where the service is less formal and a light (daily) menu is proposed to encounter the bathing establishment's clients desiderata.About the starter, let us know, if you wish, the one you chose, in order to improve, if the case.

I don't know whether they weren't expecting many people or not on the Saturday night we visited but there was only person in the open kitchen and one person front of house.Things started well, as we were first to arrive, but as tables started to fill the service got worse and worse (our food was partly served by the chef; I admire the initiative but it indicates how slow the service was becoming) and by the time we were ready to pay it took forever to get the bill, which should have had a discount (we had a card from our hotel) on it but didn't.It was the worst meal (of 7) we had in San Vincenzo by far. It was so forgettable I can't even remember what I ate, only the slow if polite service.

I was in the restaurant twice, once with my husband and second with husband, daugther, son in law and 3 granddaugthers. Both times the food was awesome and the service excelent. They were so kind to the kids and made a lot of fun with them.thanks for your review and we are happy to have satisfied the palate and get it done entertain your children by making them feel at home !! very nice location modern and trendy furnished exactly on the beach facing the sea. very kind and polite service. very good pizza with an excellent quality ingredient. the big problem is the waiting time to eat. we waited 1 hour for the pizza. I think it is for the customers as well as for the owner's economy (few table rotation and reduced table orders due to the unnerving wait) they have to review the kitchen, the spaces and the number of employees and cooks. it is a shame this lack because the place is very nice and good pizza ....

In the village of San Vincenzo on the Tuscan coach is this small(and I mean "tiny") spot run by an enthusiastic young team.What you will eat depends totally on what the local fishermen delivered to the docks that morning. In other words, you cannot get fresher fish than this!Our Tuscan friends had the inside skinny on an off-the-menu specialty: Pesce cruda(aka sashimi) It was incedible!! we had it as an appetizer. HAH! It was enough to be a meal.Tuna tartare, calamari seviche, gamberi and red shrimp provided the true taste of the sea. Because we did not know better we had also ordered pici fruitti di mare. Excellent.And we finished by the four of sharing a grilled whole ombrino. A bottle of the humorously named and delicious OOPS! Sparkling rosato from MaremmAlta completed the meal.Seafood is never cheap but we found Mama Fish to be very reasonable.This is a restaurant that should not be missed if you anywhere close to this town.Make a detour if you must. BUT... be sure to make a reservation and pre-order the persce cruda.

We visited San Vincenzo for the last few days of a 24 day visit to italy. We picked this restaurant for our last meal out because all of the Trip Advisor reviews were so amazing. It came up Number 2 in San VincenzoWe had previously visited Sardinia, Pisa, Lucca, Vicopisano, Florence, San Gimingano, Siena etc and sampled local cuisines and a range of different restaurants and we felt that this was the restaurant to finish our tourWe understood before we visited that it was a restaurant with no menu and everybody got served the same food. What we didn't expect was to arrive to give our name to be nodded to a table and to hardly have any contact with anyone for the rest of the evening. Understandably not having to pick what you are eating takes away the client waiter contact to order the food etcThere were 3 people serving and I would estimate about 60+ people eating so they were completely rushed off their feet. The tables were very close together in a very dimly lit garden terrace, there were a large number of families with very young children seated all around. There were also a large number of tables with dogs. We were asked very quickly what water we wanted and if red or white wine, our teenage children ordered a beverage.Like all the courses during the evening, the antipasta was delivered with no explanation to what we were being served, however this was the best course by far and was very good, a ham of some kind and roasted vegetables with some kind of cheese.We were then subsequently served a cheese pasta that was very peppery and not especially appealing followed by the main course of a meat stew. This consisted of various meets, the beef was very succulent but the other meats (we think pork and turkey or chicken) were very dry, I am sure it is very hard to serve this kind of stew with all the meats cooked to an acceptable consistency. We were then all offered a number of desserts.The only proper conversation that we had all evening was with a young lady about the resident ginger cat! Although this was very nice I would have preferred that someone welcomed us to the restaurant and spoke us through the various courses etcThe fact that you have no menu means that they surely should introduce each course and explain to the table what you are eating. Not only were we sitting in a very dark area, we were totally in the dark as to what we were eating all eveningI can understand the concept of the restaurant and how it has had some good reviews and I can only assume that it was during a time when the restaurant was less busy and had more staff so that the client could better appreciate what the restaurant was trying to achieve, Unfortunately for us it didn't work.Dear Sirs,we are sorry you did not appreciate your dinner at our restaurant.The reason why we do not explain each course is that we ALWAYS explain the menu at booking, because we want to be sure that it is ok since there is no list. As a matter of fact, no one ever pointed out this lack of attention to our guests.Your table could not be in the dark, we would love it if all those who are reading this response could come here and check themselves. We do not have tables in the dark. Regarding the meal itself, I am sincerely sorry it did not meet your taste. I guess this is unavoidable, since it it is impossible to meet everybody's taste, but I fell sorry anyhow. And about our waiters being in a hurry, yes, it might be as well, there are evenings when this can happen even if it is not always so. How guests arrive makes a big difference, if a lot of people arrive at the same time it is obviously more difficult to offer a relaxed service.Thank you anyway for coming to visit us.

beautiful location in an agricultural land above the Gulf of Baratti with breathtaking views and olive trees and vines in nice presence. nice restaurant in marine style and rustic at the same time (without tablecloth in full post service). very kind and professional service. the menu of meat and fish reduced but with seasonal products and good quality. our dishes were good but the egg very bland (I ate the same dishes in many high-end restaurants). even desserts are good and well presented ... in general an nice evening in good atmosphere ... Tuscany rural and sea style and delicious food !
