There can't be another first impression! And this first impression was great! Service on the highest level! Good choice of food and wine. Excellent in all ways. I was invited to try their famous tartar with 7 sauses. It was more than worth to have it. And steak Fiorentina, just delicious!!! No comments about wine! it's just superb!

We had a lovely dinner at Ristorante i Maggi with 4 courses. But before that, we were surprised with a delicious amuse. The starter was very creative: a cappuccino of seafood! First and second course tasted good as well, though were a bit less exclusive. The staff was friendly and gave some good advice. Last but not least, we liked the combination of old and modern interior.

We found this restaurant on the last night of our holiday, which was a shame. The owner and the staff are very friendly, not much English spoken but we had a really good laugh and the food was some of the best food we had eaten in Tuscany!! It was fun trying to explain to them about the Isle of Man!!! Thank you to you all for making our last night in Italy such a pleasant one, and of course for the fantastic food!!! Highly Recommended!

I first had the pleasure of dining at La Polveriera in the mid 90s and have remembered it ever since. Then I was the guest of a local theatre artist, treated to the chef's favorite wines and seafood creations, including an exceptional pasta with frutti di mare. More recently, I ate here twice during a business trip to Pontedera, since the experience was so delightful my colleague and I were eager to return. The interior is comfortable and attractively decorated, with brick walls and warm colors, but in warm months nothing compares to the courtyard seating where you can enjoy an exquisite meal under a starry sky. The 2 Euro cover charge includes a glass of the fine house prosecco along with a selection of tasty breads and focaccia. Seafood dishes are the highlight here, including an amazing main dish of cod with crispy pancetta in a Grand Marnier sauce and fillet of turbot all'isolana. Don't miss the chocolate flan, a perfect ending to a delightful meal.

Beautiful location a short walk from the centre of Vicopisano. Menu is in Italian but owner is helpful with a translation book and advice. Food was incredible. Modugno was hands down the best meal we had on our week long stay we had in the area. We were greeted warmly by the waitress and were impressed by the lovely decor and feel of the place. Although the menu was in italian the chef came out and was wonderful in trying to translate everything off of the menu into english, and spent at least 20 mins of his own time doing this. The food was exceptional especially the salmon starter and the calzone for the main course, the best i've ever tasted. All in all a fantastic restaurant and we would definitely go again.

Great restaurant tucked away in Bientina Toscana nice place overlooking a man made lake.We had dinner there on a Monday the food was mouth watering.We had some lovely pasta with shellfish my friend had some delicious ravioli and the Frittto misto was superb.We then had a Fiorentina , a fillet and fresh fish all cooked to perfection.We opted for their local wine by the carafe which was from a Montalbano winery quite good.Desserts were amazing , service 100% the owner who is of Corsican origin takes pride in her work and really takes care of her clients.Grazie di Cuore!!!
