Quiet, secluded setting with view of the lake. Service and food was impeccable. This is the second time I have had the pleasure to dining there and I am truly sorry they will be closing soon. A five star restaurant! The glass decorations were beautiful and the ladies restroom with the full-sized mannequins are hilarious. I will miss this dining experience.

We stopped here for lunch. I had a smoked whitefish salad on spinach. It was very tasty. I also had a cup of fish chowder, this was more mediocre than the salad. The service is also a little different. Order at the counter, get your drinks and the staff brings the food out to your table.

Simply excellent! Anything in the place from the morning cinammom rolls which are beyond discription to the delish ice cream cones, it is always always always great!!!
And hats off to the woman who is in that kitchen like always!!! Turning out amazing pies, fudge, and all kinds of wonderful things.
These people are just incredible workers. Thank you for all that you do to make peoples vacations so enjoyable!!!

This is simply THE BEST place to buy whole, homemade pies, pastries, Welsh pasties, and other outstanding delights! We drove over two hours just to purchase one of their legendary pies!

For many years we have been driving 45 miles at least once each summer to have a special dinner. This time it wasn't at all special. We had the 5-course dinner. The bland soup was lukewarm so I sent it back. Salad was just ok. Entree was also lukewarm but I didn't send it back because I didn't want it to come back overcooked. I could have had a better steak at home. The only items that were actually good were the raspberry sorbet & the cherry pie - the best crust I've ever had at a restaurant. If not for the pie, i would've rated it a 1. The service was excellent.

We saw this 'structure' during our wanders around La Pointe. At first instance, we thought it was the residence of some hoarder that was probably considered an eyesore by all of the other residents of Madeline Island. It was not obvious to us that it was a bar and actually open to the public. We then saw it rated on TripAdvisor as a must visit. So the next day we visited it for a beer before catching the ferry. It turned out to be a lot of fun walking around with our drinks and reading all the signs of Tom's wisdom and the various treasures that he has accumulated.

After hiking In the Apostle Islands National Park, my husband and I were exhilarated,tired and more than a little bit hungry. Lucky us - without reservations, we slides into a lovely spot
in the back room - a small area, nicely designed with multiple tables but no feeling of being crowded or seated too close together.
The whitefish chowder richly deserved its outstanding reputation. We followed that with a gluten free pizza with apples, bacon and cheese - great crust and uniquely delicious topping. Finished off a mouth watering serving of the evening's special - (gluten free for us) shrimp pesto pasta. I adore pesto and this was one of the best I've ever had - including my own homemade version!
The only disappointment was no brewed iced tea - our personal beverage of choice. But a small price to pay for an outstanding meal, service and environment.

Decided to stay longer on the island and have dinner and was very happy with our choice. My husband specifically asked me to write a great review of the garlic burger which he states was one of the most unique ones he has every had with garlic bread bun and green olives. The black bean burger was very good as was the pizza. Yes, it is mostly teens working, but they were very nice and did their jobs well.

Madeline Island is a lovely spot and community in the Apostle Islands. This pub and restaurant had what I consider above well average food and drink for a little community. The sunset view as grand and the fireplace was a nice touch on a cool fall evening. Pizza was great as were the appetizers. All in our part enjoyed their meal.

Waited days for the place to open (closed for a large group). Ordered two scallop based dishes, to discover they were out (not quite 6pm). We opted to have a pesto seafood dish and a steak and shrimp dish. All the food was quite tasty, and the service top notch. Would like to visit again for the scallops.
