This was a return visit after our previous good experience. I had booked but that was probably unnecessary on this occasion. We were shown to a table in the conservatory which is quiet and very airy. There are two menus at lunchtime but we all actually chose from the daytime saver menu. There is plenty of choice - something for eveyone's taste and pocket. I chose the Open Chicken Sandwich - strips of chicken breast, crispy bacon, tomato and mayonnaise on an open, warm ciabatta and served with skinny fries. The mains arrived fairly pronptly and were hot and tasty and for the £5 I had paid for mine - very good value for money. My partner had chosen the fish and chips (again £5) and the fish was huge! For dessert we all decided to choose the mini puds and coffee. I selected the lemon drizzle cake (new) and it was lovely and tasty and just enough after the main. The staff are friendly and efficient. Again another very good experience.

Visited here the night of European Championship as had friends and wanted some peace to chat!! Wow is it peaceful. A great real pub even got the old fashioned pub smell of beer - yes beer not your fancy rubbish stuff so many drink now. Good beer good customers good member of staff and a nice peaceful pint with real conversation. Sat outside on the banks of the River Dee as the sky darkened. Really ace view and calmness. Loved it.

Donât often come here but about once or twice a year make the trip for a couples or family meal. Great staff very friendly and a very reasonable old proper pub. Not very busy this night but a decent crowd to give atmosphere. Extrerior has a super old Walkers lamp and the inside has plenty of old photos of Parkgate. Nice neat clean tidy and loads of odds and ends about. Enjoyed my visit very much

This pub/restaurant was established in 1641. The entrance opens to a low ceiling dim room where the pub is located. There is a conversation table where you can meet friendly people sharing a drink. I talked with Unilever employees getting off work. From there, I went into the more modern restaurant enjoying a superb lamb dish, very good service and quiet atmosphere. I had a table looking out to a garden. I recommend for the sheer enjoyment of a 1641 pub, good food and service in a quiet environment.

Went to Hinderton last Sunday with 4 other adults. We had a 33% voucher off the Mains. Despite requesting on line to be seated near a window with disabled access they wanted to sit us on a round table in the middle . We ordered drinks and at least 15 minutes after our server came back to say that there was no IPA.! The service was slow but the meal was nice, I had the slow cooked pork belly. We were there at 1pm and after some of us having coffee or dessert it was 3.30pm when we left. I did notice that Tom was not around and it was quite busy but the visit was not of the usual standard .Dear David M,Thank you for taking the time to leave us a Trip Advisor review, we are sorry we could not accommodate your request on this occasion for a window table due to a large party needing that side of the restaurant. The food is good and well presented, but there was only the choice of two veggie mains. It was extremely busy but the service was excellent. The downside was that there were several small children on the next table running around and shouting. Not what you want on a Saturday night out with friends in a good restaurant.

Visited here for my mums 97th birthday,staff so friendly and helpful couldn't do enough for us.Food amazing, everything went smoothly as there was 12 of us, lovely place and will definitely be back as the Sunday roast was fab and a good portion too.Only thing is was a very wet damp day out n inside the windows were dripping with condensation n it was very very warm, the odd window open wouldn't go a miss when its like that. But that's just a little thing apart from that it's an amazing place fantastic food and will be back.Thank you for making Mums birthday special.

Weâve eaten here twice in the last month and loved it both times. Good selection of food which is excellent quality. We particularly like the salt and pepper fries!Wheelchair accessible and accommodating. However I do think the service could have been quicker and more attentive. Located on The Parade which, many years ago, used to be a busy waterfont with ships anchoring on the Quay, only yards from the front door. The Ship now has a view over the silted up estuary of the River Dee, and a thriving wild life sanctuary, to the hils of Wales.With plenty of off road car parking, the pub has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and is obviously popular. When we arrived at noon it was virtually empty, but within half an hour there was hardly a spare table available in the cozy bar area.With a good local beer, and a wide range of gins, whiskies and other spirits,complemented by a reasonable wine selection there was sufficient to meet most tastes, whilst the food menu was reasonably varied with a number of home made items.The home made fish pie was great, but spoilt by the undercooked and almost cold vegetables, stringy mange tout and difficult to cut cauliflower. The sticky toffee pudding was, again, first class, the service staff were cheerful and willing, ut The Ship could 'up its game' in certain aspect of the food offering.Dear John T,We are sad to hear we did not provide you with the best possible experience. Lack of focus, carelessness and indifference is not what we are known for. We are sorry your experience was not reflective of our reputation. In future a manager on duty would happily change your veg if you prefer it to be cooked more.
