I visited this pizzeria in July and I found it a very friendly place with good food at a reasonable price. This restaurant is a typical Italian Pizzeria and not a Pizza Express!!!The chef and his staff work hard to produce fantastic pizzas. We were spending the day wandering around Mt. Amiata and decided it was lunch time. We saw the retaurant by the side of the road and there were lots of cards, so we decided to stop. The outdoor dining area was large and packed with people. but we managed to get an outside table. When the waiter came over, he proceeded to tell us the day's menu. My wife speaks a little Italian and with a couple of "repeat please", we managed to order. I had the pasta and wild boar and the freshly made pasta was incredible. The noodles were so thin, they melt in your mouth. It was hard to keep my wife's fork out of my plate. She ordered the tortelli with truffles and after listening to her carry on about how delicious they were, i tried her pasta and could hardly keep my fork out of her plate. We finished with the roasted rabbit which was perfectly moist, tender and flavorful. The house wine was OK. There are no fancy plate presentations here, just delicious food made with care and expertise, and the prices are very reasonable. Great Place to stop.

Great restaurant set in a quaint village we came across on the way back to pienza from saturnia. The manager and chef were very friendly, good honest people, the house wine was delicious, the tiramisu and pannacotta to die for and just 3 euros! The mushroom and ham pizza was so good we had to order another one! Definitely no tourist trap!Thank you so much for your review. We chose for our costumers a short menu in order to provide an high food's quality.

Have just had the most miserable lunch of all time in Italy. Not that the food was bad, it was the service. The guy who greeted us was the most miserable, unwelcoming person ever to work in a restaurant in Italy. We should have just turned around and left. He also was unable to use the credit card machine and after many false starts he managed to have both mine and my wife's credit cards rejected!!! If you are ever in the Arcidosso area please do yourself a favour and give it a miss. Dreadful.

i should have checked the reviews before ordering fish.the staff is friendly,food good but fresh fish for 2 cost 65 euro!if i had known we would have ordered something else.since there are other good places to eat in the area i wouldn't go back.

Once again, at this time of year, I find myself back in Tuscany revisiting some stunning places and great restaurants. I know I have reviewed this restaurant favourably before but I must once again tell you of my latest experience at this pleasantly appointed restaurant. The service was very good, friendly and delivered with a genuine smile on their faces. And more importantly the food was still terrific and the prices had not been increased from last year, making it even cheaper than before. This restaurant must be the cheapest in Tuscany and given the quality of the food offers, what I believe, to be the best value meal in the whole of Tuscany. If you are in the area of Castel Del Piano, which is an attractive town, then do yourself a big favour and eat here. I will be going back there very soon.

I went here for lunch. They have a day menu with the 1st course for 5 Euro and 2nd course with side dish for 7.50. Food was decent and portion was not small. I wanted to get a pizza, but unfortunately it is available only in the evening. Restaurant has fine selection of deserts.
