Visited this restaurant several times the last few years. Chiara and her husband brings very good food on the table. All from the region and the season! Good quality products, with slow cooking. Last time I ate the Tagiliatella and Caniglio: so pure in taste. Very good work. It is realy worth visiting this restaurant.

The location is quite pretty, it is outside of the town, so they have a hotel , a swimming pool and this restaurant in the middle of natural landscape. Inside is quite nice, white interior, not too much air, thank God the doors were open. The menu is very short, yet there is some variety, so they had a lamb, some tuna and beef in the second courses , as well as âtortinoâ of potatoes with spinach and peas. You may see it in the photo. To me, it could be a starter , but definitely not a second course that costs 14 Euro. so I hope they feel ashamed of their prices. Food quality is ok, nothing special. The dessert was some milk cream with chocolate, again nothing too special.

Tucked away on a side street in Umbertide, C'era Una Volta takes great pride in their locally sourced ingredients and creative menu. Generous and delicious antipasto platter is enough to make you want come back again and again. Delicious house wine is available, along with great hospitality. Nice use of mixing fruit with meats and vegetables. Highly recommend the roasted zucca with raisins.

This ristorante is on the very edge of Montone, adjacent to the Hotel Fortebraccio. We dined there twice with our group of 10 American students. As usual, we booked ahead of time for the chef's choice. The first time we were treated to pizza pizza and more pizza! Wine and pizza. Was amused that Italians like pizza with hot dogs on them, but was gratified that they served us every kind and style of pizza known to man. Friendly waitstaff. We were served on the enclosed patio. The first time we dined there it was cold and rainy, and there was a fire in the fireplace on the patio. Don't miss the fantastic mural in the lobby. It's hand painted, and excited my students and I more than some of the Renaissance work we saw during the month.

Enjoyed a delightful lunch in this charming restaurant with breath taking view. Started with a delicious mixed appetizer platter and cheese with fresh tomatoes drizzled with olive oil and fresh pepper. Finished with a mouth watering hazelnut semi-fredo. Service was good. Enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. Would definitely recommend and return.

We were staying about a 20 minute drive away from Montone and stubbled across this beautiful restaurant.The location is stunning with glorious views and the service really friendly. All the staff seemed genuinely pleased to have you there as guests and were happy to help with menu and wine choices.Food was exceptional and we liked it so much we went back 3 times during our stay!Montone is an amazing place to visit as is Erba Luna.

In the main square of Montone, a small medieval village with a marvellous amphitheater, great views across the hills and valleys of Umbria. We had lunch right on the square, very well shaded from the hot sun on the day and well in hearing of the great clock overlooking the square. A terrific lunch menu of pastas, steaks, chops and tasty salads. Even truffles were also added to the menu for some dishes. Good service, selection of wines and care with young children when required.This hilltop restaurant is well worth a visit for all the above reasons, not the easiest for parking, but this is an Italian village, so there is often a space in surprising spots. Hanging flowers, beautiful vistas up every narrow street and at the end, L'Antica Osteria. An absolute pleasure

A absolute delight eating on the terrace beautifully presented. The chef greeting with great charm and the co owner introduction to the olive oils fabulous. I had the wild boar stew delightful but could have done with some accompaniment. The Mille feuille light and excellent. In all excellent value and an excellent experience.
