Stopped here for a late lunch. The table settings caught my eye right off - very pretty. The place is immaculate, the owner is very nice, and the food is quite good, The chef will come out and. tell you the specials. It was polenta when we visited. My husband and a friend ate the polenta and thought it some of the best they have eaten. I enjoyed a fresh salad - the tomatoes tasted like tomatoes should- not like the ones from a supermarket. The house red wine was very good. Definitely would return.

We ducked into this little restaurant on a stormy Sunday night when the town was deserted and stepped into wonderful hospitality. The staff were really helpful even with the language barrier. The food was freshly cooked with an enormous mixed salad for two, a litre of house wine, desert and delicious coffee all for 35 euros. Great value.

Visited this nice place with family and friend. Small place with limited number of seats but that did not spoil the experience. As recommended by the friendly waiter, who spoke some English, we enjoyed the menu with a selection of typical Abruzzo dishes and a good wine from the area. The kids were served a pasta dish and a salmon dish, but not until we have had a small argue because normally all at the table would have to have the menu if some would like to. Ended the meal with coffee and, courtesy of the house, a limoncello. In contrast to many other Italian places there were no TVâs in the restaurant. All in all a place worth visiting.

We had a fantastic dinner. The owners cooked all the food and took us on a tour of the restaurant. The basement has a great bar with handmade furniture and old tools. The view from the outside veranda is breathtaking. We loved this restaurant!

Two of us dined at the restaurant at the beginning of January under recommendation of our hotel. Could not thank her enough! The place is modern and clean, not your average ristorante/pizzeria. We decided to choose from the A la carte menu and everything sounded mouthwatering. we had a starter to share, bruschette miste, which were really good but the waitress did not explain what was on top of each one so we had to guess. We both took the red beet gnocchi which were amazing, so much we took an extra plate. We also had pork with apples and lamb with liquorice and artichokes. Sublime! for dessert we had the apple mousse and the chestnut tart. Everything was flawless. we decided to go for a couple of bottles of birra artigianale, also very good. On our way out the maitre d', a very nice lady, asked us how everything was. Excellent! The only thing I would say to make it top notch is to maybe train the floor staff into explaining more about the dishes.

I went to this restaurant with my grandparents who are from the area and with other family. The ambiance is very typical and the food fits well with this restaurant. The service is very friendly and it felt more like we were eating at someone's home rather than a restaurant. My grandparents, who know typical food from this region, loved this place! The food is very well made, full of flavor, vibrant, and well presented. The restaurant is a little difficult to find but well worth it. Do not waste your money anywhere else in the area, you will pay less here and have a much better experience. Thank you for making this dinner with my family here a memorable one!!!!

A little family restaurant based in Castel di Sangro. A simple kitchen with good Abruzzo traditional recipes.
This lovely little family restaurant was such a joy to weary foreign travelers. Every effort to translate made ordering so easy, and very worthwhile. We had a little bit of everything, on more than one occasion and it was all so good. I enjoyed the personal touch the family provided, especially the young waiters.Thank you so much! for us was a pleasure! hope to see you soon in our restaurant!Best Regards

It was our first visit to Reale so we decided to do the 10 course tasting menu with wine pairing. This way we could experience some of the Chef's favorite dishes and utilize his wine knowledge for pairings. We would recommend this approach. The next time we visit we decided we would each select three or four different dishes from the main menu, that way we can try some of the dishes that were not on either tasting menu. There were several dishes we wished we could try. We also decided that we probably would purchase wines off of the wine list rather than going with the pairing suggestions. In our opinion some of the pairings just did not work for us. The wine list is very long and we saw several wines we would like. So I think the next time, yes we will be back, we will order a bottle of white and a bottle of red off the wine list. This is a good restaurant. The dishes are very creative and the chef lets the natural flavors of the food perform by themselves without using too much spices and seasonings. We enjoyed our visit very much! Tip - because the restaurant is small - only about ten tables, reservations are a must. And since it will probably be a late night, consider staying in one of their nine rooms upstairs from the restaurant. Very nice, and they serve you a wonderful breakfast!
