Molto molto bene. Il posto è carino, i panini sono spaziali, la cortesia ed il servizio anche. Consigliatissimo per chi vuole mangiare bene con poca spesa.

Credo di non avere la parole giuste per esprimere le emozioni provate mercoledì sera. Cucina d'autore con piatti a dir poco emozionali. Sapori e connubi indimenticabili per non parlare dei vini abbinati, fruttati e profumati. Un'insieme di prelibatezze ricercate, fra cui la salicornia comunemente chiamata "asparago di mare", pianta praticamente introvabile da queste parti. Eccellente è dire poco!

Some years ago I visited Ristorante Da Michele and was not impressed. As there are many good restaurants on the SS13 between Tarvisio and Udine and even some excellent restaurants, the need to revisit Da Michele during our trips in the Friuli was not apparent. However, this time we resolved to give Da Michele a second chance and really try to like the restaurant without prejudice. I have to report with regret that it was no good. The pizza had a flat taste and a tough base, the sort of quality we expect from a pizza joint in the Netherlands and what they did with my favorite dessert, panna cotta, I will never know, but I know that the dish gave me indigestion. Furthermore, the service of the staff was again surly and chaotic. I don't think I will give Da Michele a third chance.

This restaurant, just outside Venzone on the main route SS13 has known a sequence of owners, since we started our holidays in this area 30 years ago. About a year or two ago, there was another change of of owner, the new owner calling the restaurant Allo Spiedo. We thought it was time to test this new venue. I must say, we were not disappointed. The outdoor seating area and free parking hadn't changed of course, but the starter, consisting of local meats and cheeses was very good, the pizza was very tasty, the service of the staff professional and the bill was reasonable. Restaurant Allo Spiedo is to be recommended. I hope the new owner will be there for a long time.

Caffè Vecchio is a bar-restaurant in the historic center of Venzone. This establishment is situated on this location since 1945. You can say that Caffè Vecchio is always there for you to provide coffee, drinks, ice-cream and food for the customers. Sitting outside with a "bianco" in the historic center of Venzone, observing the street life of Venzone and thinking about the delicious ice cream you are about to order, time is well spent there. Inside Caffè Vecchio is a part where the Italian bar is and the restaurant part, where meals are served. Prices are reasonable. Service of the staff is friendly, but sometimes the waiting time for service is a bit too long, because of a momentary staff shortage during busy periods. However, Caffè Vecchio is to be recommended; unfortunately sometimes all outside tables are occupied when a tour bus with day tourists has made a stop.

La malga si raggiunge percorrendo una via tortuosa, ghiaiata e in alcuni tratti con forte pendenza ma ne vale la pena: la vista è splendida, l'atmosfera è di puro relax e il personale è gentile. Ottimo lo strudel. Da provare la ricotta affumicata.

The pizza is excellent, you buy it by the slice, so it's fast. They have a good selection of drinks and a lovely seating area on the main square. This is the place to go for a quick, great lunch.

Restaurant Carnia is situated on the SS13 just north of the strip mall Carnia Market. The restaurant is part of Hotel Restaurant Carnia. We stopped there several times for coffee and a sandwich at the Bar section. I must say, the Restaurant Carnia has a very relaxed atmosphere and is very inviting. Sitting at the outside tables and watching the traffic pass by on the SS13 stress dissolves like magic. The Bar prices are moderate; food prices in the restaurant are somewhat elevated. However, you will be received with authentic Friulan cuisine. Service of the staff is polite and hospitable. The bathrooms in the basement are roomy and clean. A good stop whether for lunch, dinner or drink with a sandwich at the bar. I realize not to expect ;positive service in Italy so when it occurs as here it should be mentioned. Our waitress was very good, and quick and pleasant and spoke German, English and Italian, and quite rightly refused to speak French. The veal escalopes with mushrooms were first class. The local white wine good. Deserts divine, we ordered more. And a pleasant garden courtyard in which to sit.
