Locale molto accogliente con splendida distesa allâapertoPersonale gentile ed efficiente Menu fisso ricchissimo e di ottima qualità Abbiamo mangiato almeno 6 o 7 antipasti locali un tris di primi eccellenti tutti con pasta fatta in casa, un assaggio (perché di più non ci stava) di capra in umidi squisita e torta al cedro. Con le bevande in due speso 45⬠prezzo più che onesto. Ve lo consiglio vivamente anche se la strada x arrivare è un poâ tortuosa.Panorama mozzafiatoBravi !

If you are lucky enough to visit Praia a Mare in Northern Calabria this bar is a must visit. Located in the heart of the bars on the 'Viale', this charming bar is a key fixture/ meeting point for residents and visitor alike.Run by the ever welcoming, smiling and hilarious Piero, you are assured of an enjoyable evening!! His meticulous attention to detail to service is evident by the warm welcome and extensive Cocktail and Dolce menus. The bar is bustling and brimming with people every night. A great place to kick off your evening with an 'Aperitivo' cocktail, always accompanied by the most delightful & innovative finger food and snacks. Nights of live music are particularly legendary for bringing the whole Viale to a standstill, as passers by stop to take in the music or join in with the singing of Italian hits past and present!!! This bar always figures highly and memorably in all my summers in Calabria....and will do so in the many to come!!!

Whilst not everything on their menu is amazing, their gnocci is definitely the best I have ever had. Their kebabs are also outstanding but I'd say stick to these dishes (and the seafood) mainly. I think the quality of food isn't as consistent as it should be but the menu is very vast.

Used to eat here a lot but now no more last visit was rushed and UN friendly. family run restaurant and often busy, food ok and pizza to go. July and August gets very busy and they expect you to book but not practical if you are on holiday! Owners are often abrupt and even rude, eat and go is the way, not on sea front the restaurant is high above on main road, popular with locals. Problem with local restaurants in area the service is not good they just never try!

Ambiente accogliente con ampia distesa allâaperto Cucina casalinga con menu fisso ma molto ricco che varia in base alle materie prime disponibili quindi frescheGestione familiare gentile e molto professionale nel servizio Abbiamo mangiato una serie di antipasti tutti eccellenti a base di salumi formaggi e verdure i ravioli fatti da loro e volendo câerano anche una serie di secondi disponibiliIl dolce purtroppo non era fatto da loro ma molto onestamente lâhanno comunicato dicendo che si trattava di gelato Leggermente caro rispetto ad altre trattorie con menu simile ma certamente siamo in una zona turistica quindi ci staX due antipasti due primi e due dolci Abbiamo speso con il vino della casa 58â¬Lo consiglio assolutamente

My daughter had dinner here, and we had some of the best pizzas we have ever had. The pastry was soft and chewy and toppings just perfect. And the staff were very friendly and helpful, and we got to sit in an outside area which was non smoking. Just a perfect night.

This place is not easy to reach, but itâs worth the try. The staff and owner are professional and friendly, menu is meat based but wide and local. We had the house appetizers (included a sample of all their appetizers, both cold and warm) and a main dish. We chose ravioli, with tomato and with ragù. Then we had just some room for the local dessert (raviolini with ricotta cheese). Plus water and a bottle of special beer. We paid some 25 euros each, which is great value for money. Hope to be back again!

It has always surprised me that there arenât more seafood restaurants in Praia. So was very pleased to see that a new one had opened there. We were first to arrive on a Saturday evening, we had reserved a table. The decor is very pleasant with some great black and white photographs. Trendy china and decent glasses help the overall look. The lights however look good but are too bright.There was a good welcome and the staff were friendly and efficient. The menu is written on a blackboard which is visible to most of the tables. It appears simple but hides some very interesting dishes. We opted for the mixed antipasta of fish to start. Wow! It was delicious and not what we expected. Thin slices of sword fish flavoured with coffee is the dish that sticks in my memory, it was very different but good. Several cold plates followed by several warm dishes. It was a filling, delicious, varied starter that we were very pleased to experience. We followed this with pasta dishes. I had the ravioli which was extremely tasty and hubby had linguine with mixed seafood which included mussels, clams, razor clam, scampi, langoustine, again very tasty. These were large portions, very generous for a primi course following the great starter, we could not eat it all. Reasonably priced for the quality of food, we will revisit.Just one suggestion, there were no little towels to clean hands after handling the shell fish, which left fingers sticky.

There are restaurants which are not bad, but just not memorable - it is the one. This restaurant is located in very good place - you do not need to search it, if you walk in Praia a Mare, you inevitable come to it. And probably will enter. When I have done it today, I realized that probably I have done the same one year ago, and maybe even one year before. But I just can not remember it. Everything in this restaurant is not bad, but not good. Service is not too slow, but also not specially friendly. The food is not bad, but you just do not remember you have you just eat. So if you are looking for just place to satisfy the hunger, you are in the right place. If you need anything more - it is not there.Thank you for your review. I seem to remember that your choice has gone on the menu at a fixed price and perhaps this has not helped to create a better judgment. I hope we have the opportunity to meet you again. We certainly will remember you. Thank you

We are regular visitors to Scalea and this bar is our go-to for breakfast, dinner and drinks. Run by Luca and his charming wife Rossana the bar offers a delicious American breakfast to set you up for a day on the beach and then you can return for aperitivo, dinner and late evening drinks. Luca is a big music fan so the recorded sounds on offer are always the very latest from his extensive playlist and once a week during the season a live band plays on the open air terrace. The drinks menu is extensive with every conceivable cocktail to interest you and 'specials' made to order if you're a connoisseur. For eats, there's a wide choice from authentic burgers (available at both lunch and dinner time), salads, pancakes and sandwiches so you won't leave unsatisfied. With its central location Bar Genova is in pole position amongst the other bars and eateries in town to satisfy your every need at any time of the day. Scalea just wouldn't be Scalea for us without Bar Genova.
