We came here hoping for a kind of fish and chips experience and because the reviews were very good. There is certainly something very authentic about this place but you should be warned that the emphasis here is more on seafood than standard fish. They only had a small quantity of one kind of fried fish. This was good though but I got the impression that this might easiy have run out if we had come later. If you eat in then you have a choice between the noisy street with menacing and hungry mosquitos or the inside seating area. This can get a bit warm on a summer evening and if you have the pleasure to be sharing this with a couple of Italian families the bathroom-like acoustic combined with the Italians and their vowell-rich language and lively temperament will ensure that any normal conversation will be impossible. The moral here is go with an open mind and a good appetitite for seafood, sit back and enjoy the autentic atmosphere. And also the fact that there is no coperto. Oh, and it won't break that bank either.

This restaurant is a little aways from the train station/city center but offers a great view of another section of Tuscany! I guess you would expect that such a restaurant at this location would be overpriced with mediocre food, but we were pleasantly surprised by both! Two words of caution, we almost didn't get seated on the patio because we came at 3 pm. There is no "warning" on the restaurant's website so plan to eat lunch earlier in the afternoon. Second, getting a cab from the restaurant back to the city (or in our case the train station) takes a bit f time and we ended up missing our train. So just another thing to plan accordingly for ahead of time.

Top quality seafood created with imagination. I also loved the wines offered by the staff. Not a cheap restaurant, yet, completely worth the price. You better do reservation in time, because it is full all the time, at least during summer.

While staying at this B&B we decided at the time of arrival that we wanted to have dinner later the same evening. Our kids are quite picky with what they eat and me and my wife are Vegetarians. No problem! said Eleonora and we had a quick and very nice dialog of different alternatives. The evening was very nice with appetizers and a fantastic home made bread, the best we had during our vacation in Italy. It was a fun feeling enjoying the nice food (4 dishes) and wine sitting outside with the beautiful views and weather, while almost sitting in their Kitchen while a very authentic Italian family bustling around cooking, preparing for other guests, cats and dogs playing nearby. Very friendly, very nice. Thanks Eleonora!

Was in a nearby town looking for a restaurant open on Sunday and was led to Dalle Bimbe by locals!Parking (difficult in Italy) was easy here, right in front. Not a fancy eatery, a nice place to eat in a small town. Friendly service. Although the menu is in Italian, the staff will translate for you. We ate there a few times during our nearby stay. Each time the food was very good. Not expensive. If you are near Nibbiaia and need a dependable, very casual place to eat, you'll be very satisfied to eat here.

Aia della vecchia (Old woman's country yard), is basically a bunch of old country house nested in between Chioma, a small sea resort and Nibbiaia, a country viilage on top of one of the hill surronding the coastal town of Livorno.The road to reach the place is quite winding and can be daunting for some driving down to the main road. Police might be present in the vicinity of Quercianella during week ends to control the flow of might revellers, so do not speed over limits of drive after drinking too much.The restaurant is a beautifully restored country house and offers some traditional Tuscan fares among some original creation. All in all is pretty good although service can be slow, especially at weekends due to the fact that most of the food is cooked on order.Take it easy, enjoy the view and the tranquillity of the place.

This is fine dining without being pretentious. Plates are wonderfully and skillfully prepared by the chef owner and served by his very friendly and welcoming wife. Good wine selection ranging from about 15 euro to several hundred. Very fancy high end food that you would never expect to find in this small little hillside town.

This was truly terrible. It is such a great location and we were so disappointed as unfortunately that is all it is. The female waitress was so rude in a non verbal way. She threw our food at us and one main came 20 mins after the rest!! The dirty cutlery had dried food on it and we just got a rude stare and no apology when we asked for another set. There was only one other table there when we arrived so they don't even have the excuse of being busy!! The male waiter was more pleasant. The food was ok tho nothing to rave about but then again the service made everything taste sour. My mussels were stone cold. We had to ask for some bread more than once. We escaped as quickly as we could not really wanting to pay but not having a material reason not to. Maybe they had their poorest staff all in on 11 July 2017 evening? Or maybe they don't like Scottish tourists. Who knows. Sorry but Walk on by it's not worth a visit. Really really poor experience and totally spoilt our evening.
