Went for date night meal having last been couple if years ago. Looked forward to excellent food but not to be. My pizza was extremely tasty but only had 1/3 of it covered. Rest was just plain pizza base. My wife had seafood dish but the different elements had not be prepared or cleaned very well. May have been ok in a rustic restaurant off the beaten track abroad but definitely not good enough for us.Will take a lot of persuasion to go back.Dear Customer,Thank you for choosing to eat at Viva. However, Its a shame you didnt enjoy your meal with us.Our floor staff are told to do table checks to make sure customers are satisfied with there food with every table. If there are any issues (which there shouldnt be) then we will change the dish or remake a fresh dish for the customer. Its disappointing when customers do not speak up during their meal in order for us to make sure they leave the restaurant satisfied rather than disappointed.We hope you will try Viva again in the future. 4 popped in for pizza and pastaWith a garlic bread be warned very strong garlic if you donât like it to strongPizzas were tasty and a big portion on pasta carbonaraWonât beat a proper Italians but good enough Be warned cash only salesSorry if the garlic bread was too strong for you, but we've used the same recipe for 15 years, and 99% of customers love it, using words in their reviews like; 'best ever' 'awesome' etc.We had a giggle at 'proper Italian', as this cafe was all based on original Italian recipes , which we purchased from the previous owners and adhered to when we bought it over 12 years ago.No, we don't take cards (yet), but are in the complicated process of getting the right deal, but meanwhile you neglected to include the fact that there are FOUR cash machines within a few minutes walk, two are less than twenty seconds away.

Great food. Kids loved the hot cheese wraps and we had great chilli nachos and jacket spuds respectively. Refills on coffee, good beers and a warm roaring fire added to the enjoyment. Andy and Kirsty are very welcoming and with board games out and a homely feel it made for a perfect saturday treat. Only problem was choosing from the range of cakes at the brownie bar! Can't wait to go again.

My aunt and I went on a Thursday evening. Unfortunately it was empty at 8pm. However we decided to take a chance and had pizza. The service was lovely and friendly. About 8-30 a table of 5 came in so it felt a bit better . Pizza delicious.Would definitely go again.
