A great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine within view of the castle. The menu varies, usually featuring pezzetti di cavallo (chunks of horsemeat in tomato sauce, a traditional dish in the area) small plates like roasted peppers in oil, mortadella and cheese, mozzarella and tomato, and sometimes a pasta dish. It's a fun place, with tables spilling out into the piazza.

We were going to Estia (recommended by locals) that turned out to be closed, after which a lady guided us to this restaurant, which turned out to have superb seafood dishes at very reasonable prices. A big family group of us descended upon this quaint restaurant. The staff were lovely and we enjoyed the recommended local - strong ale. We were disappointed with the pizzas which were very basic and laced flavour. The restaurant itself had a nice atmosphere and we ate upstairs out side to cool off. Pleasant evening made so mainly by the company rather then the food.Thank you for your review.We always try to make nice the atmosphere for our customers and our Pizza Chef, Simone, is always studying to make the best pizza you can eat. ;)

Expect great food in a simply amazing environment. We loved the raw fishes tartare and the rest of the food. We had raw antipasti and cooked antipasti and web really liked them. The only low is the price a little bit higher than other similar places...

We have been there twice for dinner during our stay in Salento and have been quite happy about this resto. Good wines with a good value for money, my parmigiana with tuna (typical Southern dish prepared with fish instead of meat or other veggies) is definitely worth the try. the dessert (millefeuilles with cinnamon and apple) was sublime. Downside: the owner is quite rude with the staff-which I don't appreciate- and not so nice with the clients either, according to his whims. Dear guest, thanks for your review. We visited Estia Ristorante for an al fresco dinner while staying in a nearby Masseria. The food was extraordinarily good, especially the veal fillet. Estia is in side street in the historic centre of the town and it may pay to get your bearings organised before you go.As always in Puglia, things really only got going after 9pm, when the tables started filling up rapidly. Corigliano D'Otranto is a sleepy town south of Lecce, but definitely worth a visit. There is a fabulous moated castle in the historic centre.

Our most recent visit was with a couple of friends and their teenage daughter. As always, the antipasti were stupendous - all strictly vegetable-based. I won't list them as the menu changes regularly according to the season but will say that I had to hold myself back from eating them all as I knew there were more courses to come. There was a choice of two types of pasta so of course we had some of each. Both home- and hand-made, one was wheat and one spelt, both delicious. Then, for those who wanted it, grilled meat. And salad. And cake.And coffee. And digestivo. Service was friendly and attentive without becoming showy or overpowering. A lovely place, country-cool in the heat of the summer - we will be going back as soon as we can.

This restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel and the setting on the rooftop was beautiful. We did not have a reservation but we eat early (7:30 )and we were seated right away. The food was OK but not our favorite and the wine was nice but pricey. Lots of staff around but we had to pour our own wine which was weird.
