i ate here 4 times, and all 4 were very good. The salami when u seat on the table is perfect, and really really good. I had pasta with "salamelle" and was perfect. The dessert, you can die for it.

In the middle of an industrial area and unknown place for some of the Italian natives as well "MONTECCHIO emilia " I wa looking for a pub showing UEFA matches, went there and it was amazing, stuff are friendly and helpful, food is amazing and ambiance is vibrant

This cozy restaurant, nicely located in the outskirts of Reggio Emilia, is a very typical example of a family-run italian place. The cuisine relies on the staples of local food: prosciutto, Parmiggiano-Reggiano, home-made pasta, meat (veal, pork, chicken, rabbit among the others).The service is efficient and very friendly and the atmosphere is just lovely; simple, traditional, intimate and cozy in the inside and with a nice yard outside. All this comes with a convenient price; for a complete meal with wine and coffee we spent just 30 euros per person.I would strongly recommend it if you are a family and if you want to have a taste of the "slow-Italy" that resists the wind of modernity.NB: do not get there too late; the kitchen closes soon after 2 PM...

A quick lunch visit with colleagues and we all ordered Pizza. They were all excellent, very traditional, thin and crispy with fresh ingredients.Looked to be popular with local business people during this lunch service.

Era tanti anni che non venivamo in questa storica birreria e devo dire che siamo stati piacevolmente sorpresi da come sia notevolmente migliorata. Cibo ottimo e una notevole quantità di birre alla spina e in bottiglia. Servizio veloce e personale attento e gentile. Prezzi forse un po' alti rispetto ad altre birrerie. Promosso!

I have no idea how this restaurant has such a high rating. The food ranged between poor and unexceptional and the dining room is a soulless white box upstairs in a commercial building. On a positive note, the staff were friendly. Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. There are so many places in the area where you'll have better food and a nicer atmosphere.

Went here as part of our cooking class and met the chef and assisted in preparing our lunch. Luckily he was heavy handed in the work and the result was spectacular. With the fiera in town in Parma we were having a hard time finding a decent place to eat. As we were staying at the B&B ended up having dinner there. We went for the antipasto selection and was enjoyable. The polenta w/ gorgonzola was ok but forgettable. The gnocchi (not the potato ones) were quite good. The cold cuts was solid, as was the wine recommendation. Price was a bit on the high side for the overall selection. The place itself is cozy and a decent setting for a date. Service was good albeit slow. Overall, not the best of our trip but not the worst. A solid 4.
