It is located in a charming, welcoming environment, typical of a beautiful shelter where it is nice to stop. Here you can eat great local food without spending a folly. Abundance and quality at a low price. From here leave beautiful excursions. The Manghen pass is a pleasant road to do, a little narrow but surrounded by a wild nature.

This little Restaurant (more of a traditional mountain farm, really) is somewhat off the beaten path, but the drive up the mountains and through the alpine woods only adds to its charms. Once there, the feeling of accomplishment and remoteness adds to the excitement of this culinary outing.The proprietor of the place happens to know my family, so the familiar and friendly reception we got as we bumped into him washing fresh, hand-picked herbs in the rustic water trough in the courtyard might be the exception, although I suspect it is the norm.The food was amazing. Really, amazing! In the slow-food tradition, the ingredients were of the highest quality and, seeing that they are all locally sourced, or at least sourced from small-scale producers, each dish came with a plethora of stories behind the ingredients and the recipe.At the end of our lunch, we bumped into distant relatives, who were celebrating a family birthday there. Four generations, all sitting in a traditional, wood-paneled dining room, loving the food and having a blast.The prices are high, but not too high for the quality of the food and drink.Since I've been there, I've recommended it to anyone passing through South Tyrol!

We were just looking for a quiet restaurant after a skiing day, but Sottovoce proved to be the best restaurant we tried during this trip. All round very good food. From pizza to a thin fillet steak in lemon sauce, milanesa and local dumplings everything was very well cooked, well presented and with generous portions. Selecting or changing the side dishes was offered at no extra cost, and at the end of the meal we were offered limoncello. All this with very friendly and helpful waiters and an excellent service. A very pleasant surprise and an excellent meal. We will be back.

But La Cantinetta is something: the family running this small and cosy restaurant in the little town of Varena knows how to prepare delicious food, strongly relating to the local tradition but with a touch of creativity. Not to miss: canederli, carne salada e Birra di Fiemme!

Had a great lunch here on a snowy day. They have excellent meat, steaks, etc.After your meal stop by the shop to pick up some ham, cheese, salami and other great treats!

Stopped here for lunch with family. The outdoor seating was very inviting, but we chose the indoor seating with comfortable air conditioning! The entire restaurant looked brand new and very well decorated.The service was decent and the food was amazing! The pasta tasted homemade and the salad with grilled beef was so savory. The additional sautéed mushrooms made it even better.They need to redesign the bathroom. There is no privacy between the men's and women's bathrooms. Strongly recommend.
