Have been eating here for approx five years, they have extended in the last year and is busier than it's always been. But given the quality and price no wonder! 11 euros which includes starter, main, contorni wine water and coffee.!!

look out for the sign in a side street which leads you you to a narrow alley. Once found, this is an experience NOT to be missed. Al Vicoletto is everything that a restaurant should be - imaginative food beautifully cooked, exemplary and friendly service and at a very reasonable price. All the freshest of ingredients were beautifully prepared and presented. Antipasti were original - fresh pecorino, prosciutto di Parma crudo and melon, salamis (con pepe, ciaiusculo, lonza), bruschetta with garlic and with tomato and a beautiful salad of farro which contained cherry tomatoes, crunchy chopped vegetables and herbs and a delicious light dressing. Our vegetarian diner was presented with a beautiful plate of finely-sliced grilled zucchini, roasted and stewed aubergine, wood oven-roasted tomatoes. Primi: excellent fusilli with gorgonzola, pear and walnut; home-made ravioli with ragu of zucchini and tomatoes a. Secondi: we chose the grilled lamb which was extremely tender and full of flavour. A half carafe of drinkable bianco della casa, water ,cafe. At â¬22 per head, fantastic value for money. Delightful owners who were happy to make us all extremely happy, and we cannot wait to return and tell our Italian friends!

I came at this country house because a friend pointed me there. Very good hint. Without looking into Tripadvisor, I found myself into a small piece of paradise. Beautiful view over the hills around Camerino (Marche), fully renovated country house with a covered porch for dining in full view of the landscape around. The food is creative, taking inspiration from the traditional (local) cuisine. A "menu degustazione" will bring you into the best the chef has to offer on the day. Do not skip the dessert. And, if feel like that, ask for a beer to match the food. Or, even better, a local wine.

Wonderful meal. The pasta is all home-made. I chose ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach and cooked in smoked cheese - the owner's speciality. Slowly cooked spezzatino of capriola was tender and full of flavour, accompanied by grilled baby melanzane. Lunch for five came to â¬96,50 including wine, water and coffee - a. bargain.

What a fabulous place! So different in every way; decor, atmosphere, service are all novel and superb. The food is brilliant with so much variety offered for a fixed price. We have only been once but hope to return frequently. Roberto and Cecilia are delightful. What a gem of a place. Thanks a lot! :)

I live in Foligno. I have eaten at Ristorante Il Cavaliere several times so this gives me a unique perspective of this restaurant. This last week, I was fortunate to host some of my colleagues from the U.S. for dinner. One of my Italian colleagues who grew up in Foligno also joined us. Let me just say that we were all incredibly impressed by the service and quality of the food. Here's why Il Cavaliere is so good: 1) The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. They are well-trained and flexible. There's no fussing if you order 1/2 plates or want something out of the ordinary. 2) All the food is served in the simplest of ways (very Umbrian). The quality of the products themselves are what make each dish special. The appetizers are delicious (and there are a lot of them). I highly recommend ordering the large appetizer which includes a wide variety of local meats, cheeses and other delightful things. The truffles and scrambled eggs is one of the best things I've ever eaten!!! 3) There's a very good atmosphere in this restaurant. You aren't rushed and the staff seems to be delighted that you're enjoying your meal. So much of what's great about this restaurant is it's simplicity and perfect treatment of local foods. We have visited Frattoria Cignano on many occasions during our visits to Marche Italy over the years. Never disappointed. Local cuisine at its best and very reasonably priced. It is based in a beautiful rural setting with the sun going down over the Sibillini to the west as you approach in the evening. A friendly family run business with Mario as chief waiter. He has excellent English and is only too glad to discuss the menu with you. Based in Cignano above Muccia - first right off the road to Camerino - easily passed by. You will have a treat in store.
