Last Saturday we rang four local pubs in the Corsham area to try and book for the following day, Sunday. No such luck. In any case, I have had some disappointing Sunday roasts lately - they are either poor quality or overly poshed-up (with a price to match). For the perfect 'Goldilocks' meal in between, I recommend Neston Country Inn. There was only one roast meat choice (beef) but there were many other options such as fish, vegetarian etc. It was proper old-school roast beef (including veering on well done - but still tender and tasty), with Yorkshire, the most fantastic gravy, perfectly crisp/fluffy roasties and a huge amount of fresh and well-cooked veg. At £12 it was also about £3 cheaper than other local Sunday roasts. Pudding too was old school and I could not resist steamed syrup pudding with custard. Yum! Service is attentive and friendly, and there are some very interesting local beers and ciders on tap (I particularly liked the Peto Press lightly sparkling cider). The decor along with everything else is old-school, but who cares? There is a log fire and it's dog-friendly. What's not to like? We will be back.

Strange set up,,,, pub not open on a Monday and Tuesday, but restaurant is, with a limited menu of English tapas,,, no atmosphere, and like sitting in a closed restaurant... just four customers.... if you stay in one of the cottages, make sure you take ear plugs. The noise from the road outside was excessive.... all through the night. Supposed to be 50 mph, think most doing way above that, even the huge lorries. However the cottage was ok, everything you need in S/C kitchen. Bed comfortable. Only saw staff when having a meal, had to let ourselves out and leave the key with a cleaner, when leaving. Breakfast only available if you give 48 hours notice, so take your own.

We took American friends to this excellent restaurant who were celebrated their first year of trading. We had such a good meal that we returned a few days later for another most enjoyable meal. The Gurkha curries are really tasty especially the Katmandu chicken curry, which is my favourite. The management go out of their way to satisfy their customers and the service was attentive and friendly. The ambiance was busy and quite noisy on both occasions as customers were clearly all enjoying themselves. We will definitely return soon.

Stayed in one of the guest apartments for 3 nights, very comfortable. Ate breakfast each morning. Don't open until 09:30. Bit late for me.However, food and sevice was very good. The bar staff are tops, made me feel like I was the most important guest they had.It's a five star place, with all the staff working as a team.Will certainly use Greenhouse againHi Cliff,It was an absolute pleasure to meet you and have you visit us so often during your stay!We look forward too seeing you next year!Many thank you for such a lovely review, Emily & the Team Update: Just to let you know we now serve breakfast 9am-11.30am, 7 days a week.
