Shillong (English: /ʃɪˈlɔːŋ/; Khasi: Shillong) is a hill station in the northeastern part of India and the capital of Meghalaya, which means "The Abode of Clouds" and is one of the smallest states in India. It is the headquarters of the East Khasi Hills district and is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet (1,496 m) above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet (1,966 m). Shillong is the 330th most populous city in India with a population of 143,229 according to the 2011 census. It is said that the rolling hills around the town reminded the European settlers of Scotland. Hence, they would also refer to it as the "Scotland of the East".

Booked two room....went with parents....awesome stay....awesome rooms with good view, food and staff....enjoyed every moment....hassle free...away from city (10 mins)....which makes it better then the rest...will book it again if ever to visit shillong again and recommended to every one...

Well Bamboo hut is what you get when you have about Rs 400 in your pocket and want to go out on a date.The food is decent and service quick.Yes there is nothing outstanding about the decor but then its just Rs 400 for a meal for two.The location is better than most shops in Police Bazar and the environment is good and clean.

We had dinner in lamees for 3 just go for a walkdown in police bazaar you will get the restaurant in leftWe had chicken fried rice, chicken hot garlic sauce ,tawa roti, finger chicken Thai styleCosted 1000 RSAll the items were mouth watering you can definitely try once when you are in Shillong

This is THE place to eat & drink in Shillong, excellent service with very courteous, ever smiling staff.Lots of variety of food especially Indian, Chinese & Continental.Food is very tasty, up to the mark taste for all cuisines available there.My friends had enjoyed non- veg food as wellVariety of premium brands of Whiskey, Vodka, Scotch, Rum, Cognac,Brandy,Wines are available & the best was Infused Vodka Cocktail.

Best Food served. Crew "Neha" was very well received and asking kids of their favourites and taking orders. It was more than enuff Food. We can't eat full thalli. Prices are also reasonable.

We went for New Years dinner here. There was live music, of mediocre quality, nice drinks and decent food. Felt good, but a little underwhelming, given the beautiful heritage building it has, they could create a better atmosphere
