What a lovely little place! The food was excellent, cooked to perfection. We had chicken and steak respectively and both were cooked just right. The service was excellent as well. A definite plus was the lack of loud music, it was possible to have a conversation rather than having to shout over loud music. Disappointed we did not find this earlier and went before.Thank you for the lovely comments. We're so glad you enjoyed your visit. Now you've found us, you can definitely come again. Don't be put off by the surroundings outside - Oxford Street, Swansea has seen much better days. The restaurant is a haven - wooden floors, pine furniture and French metal chandeliers. The amuse-bouche was a nice surprise; my husband's scallops were the best ever; my duck parfait was tasty. We followed with breast of lamb and Bayonne chicken and shared a cheese board and a bottle of sauvignon blanc. All was faultless and served by a charming hostess.

Very good service and good wine, but French? Hmm-dubious. Hearty portions, rather over-seasoned, main ingredients well-cooked, but very salty. Lively atmosphere and reasonable prices but uninspiring food. A place is not French just because escargots are on the menu! Having said all that, a pleasant evening was had which didnât break the bank. Il faut une certaine finesse.

My husband and I were staying locally for a weeks holiday and visited twice during our stay. Really lovely surroundings and very friendly staff. One young girl called Mika (I think) had just started and was very eager to please.
