I was invited by some Italian friends to join them for dinner in their favourite restaurant in Salmoneta. The minute you walk into this place you are transported back in time. My command of Italian being somewhat limited I let the choose the menu. All which was ordered was excellent, flavoursome and well presented. Service and wine were impeccable. All in all a very happy moment and superb experience.

Beautiful location in summer you eat outside. Food was amazing, service was good. I really liked that you could choose the full on Italian multi-course meal (25-30â¬) or you count order individual items like pizza (5-9â¬), pasta (7-11â¬) etc... reservations are required they are fully booked most lunches and dinners. In addition this place also has accommodation so if you need a place to stay while visiting Sermoneta and Ninfa it's perfect! My only complaint is the women's bathroom in the restaurant. I find it completely unacceptable that such a beautiful venue can't bother with toilet seats

There are places in which you prefer to go instead of being home: Stella is the one. Family business with faboulous staff, with knowledge in wine, beer, grappa, rum, meat, mashrooms and truffle. Consider that most of the things are catched in the forest from the owner, the wife is cooking and sons are serving....what else to say...professional, delicius, and when you go out from there you will come back again 100%. I also brought there people from outside the country and they are still speaking about the place. Just one warning: be careful on the number of dishes you are ordering because each one is massive :) But the staff can suggest you very well what to do! price is completely reasonable for the quality you get. Try it and let me know
