On a drive around the island of Thassos we had previously looked on TripAdvisor at the best restaurants for some lunch, this was something we were looking forward to. We sat towards the front of the restaurant, bit disappointed as the view of the sea is obscured with sun beds and parasols, you can order food from the sun beds at an extra cost, as weâre moving on this was not an option. We ordered a Greek salad, pork gyros and a side of taziki, service was dull and the waiter had no enthusiasm or energy and the worst of all not friendly. Being number 1 you expect more. Food arrived, the Greek salad was okay, not the best Iâd had that week and it had far too much feta on top, pork gyros, not the traditional style but homemade, a little fatty for my liking but the taziki with the bread was very good. What was disappointing was the lack of atmosphere, no music and everyone looked miserable. The beach setting is nice but the beach is pebbles and gritty, found better beaches on our drive. Not as cheap as other restaurants, maybe our visit was bad timing, but the restaurant was busy and should of had a better vibe.

I could copy and paste the same review as I did before that this place gives the standard Greek fare and its outstanding selling point is the pizza and the chicken souvlaki, Greek salad and tomato and mozzarella salad. This time however, the service was much improved with the kitchen keeping up! You can't go wrong here; it's such good value.

Amazing food, like no other! We had the best food from thassos: fish soup, shrimp soup, grilled calamari. Stuff friendly, fast delivery, good location, very good atmosfere. Price: a little bit higher than the average but it worths all the money.

Yes, itâs a lovely setting and food ok but nothing special and no effort whatsoever from staff. Perhaps we arrived shortly after a family argument? Probably better at lunchtime when setting improves ambience

The beauty of going self catering for us is eating somewhere different every night . This was another lovely restaurant in the main part of Thassos Town.Hard working friendly staff. Starters Stuffed vine leaves & Saganaki are our most loved and they were lovely couldnt fault them here .Mains Chicken a la creme, hubby loved every morsel .Squid stuffed with feta & tomatoes, lovely and tender . My hubby doesn't know how I can eat squid but I love it . 1 litre of red wine to wash it all down . Came to â¬45. Free ice cream with your bill . Lovely spot watching people coming and going .

The tables are under the the trees, with hanging lamps, nice music and relaxed atmosphere. The food is delicious, we loved the octopus, the shrimps, fried squid and sea bream. Although in a touristic area, this tavern is not at all touristic and offers very fresh food cooked in a very tasty way!

Mesogeios feels more like a restaurant (which of course it is) than a 'typical' Greek taverna, and the menu (and prices) reflects this, so don't expect just souvlaki and moussaka.. The menu is much more ambitious and varied than most. Having said that, the food is definitely high quality, and portions are large (our salad was enormous), to say the least.Zucchini flowers are definitely recommended (and the chips are excellent), but you might be disappointed if you order the traditional pie, as it had finished both evenings we visited (must all go at lunchtime, I suppose).Lots of shaded outdoor garden~like seating, although it can be tricky getting the waiter's attention from some of the darker corners.Located near the ferry boats in Nea Limenas, so you can watch the ships arriving and departing as you eat!Altogether a pleasant change.

Hey!We were six persons for three nights in a role to dine at Batis. Furthermore, we took everyday our lunch to go on the beach. So far, only a few gases, but nothing more. And i think is from the beer :))The food is great, freash and ready in a few minutes, the stuff isnât elegant in clothing, but very elegant in serving, which makes this place a good choice for people who just want a good value to their money. We returned this year to Skala Rachoniou and although we were half board this restaurant was top of our list to re-visit. (So good we went twice in one week). This time we remembered about the large portions and we shared our starter (the courgette balls - yummy), which I followed with the most delicious chicken schnitzel. The main course does come with chips and a touch of greenery but I discussed with the owner and decided to have a âhalf portionâ of Greek salad as a side. (Next time I will order a quarter portion of salad as I was unable to finish it. This restaurant is well worth a visit and has a really good menu with great prices.
