There isn't much charm to the Golf Tavern (for some reason - the place gets listed as The Golf Hotel...? I don't get that...) and parking (there isn't any) is an issue. Oh, and the location isn't great just across from the huge ALDI store. Yet - we enjoyed a very pleasant lunch there. There is a small bar to the left when you enter and a tiny dining area to the right. Through to the back of the tavern there's a pleasant looking outdoor beer garden.I had a very cheesy and delicious mac and cheese - one of the best I had during a month in Scotland. The beer selection was better than average and service was good. Of course - we were actually the only people in The Golf Tavern for this meal!Overall - not super special but worth a try for a better than average pub lunch.

Nice surroundings with beautiful views over the Tay. Staff were welcoming and attentive. We had the 5 course tasting menu and the first 2 courses were excellent.Beautifully presented and full of flavour. Thereafter the standard deteriorated with wish course being rather tasteless and minute in size. The pork main was for us over cooked and again on the small size. Sweet was OK. On the whole disappointing for the standard of food we were expecting, and certainly not value for money. We would not return

Our concept is simple: Fresh, local, seasonal, and quality products combined with the creative and skillful accolades of our Head Chef, Stuart Archibald. Taking the meaning of fresh and local to another height, we use our own fruits, vegetables, and even
We visited Craigsanquhar for dinner whilst staying at the nearby Balmeadowside Lodges for my mother-in-laws special birthday (banned from saying what number)! The house is lovely, and the dinner we had was excellent. Our waiter Carlos was first class and Nathaniel's are very lucky to have someone like him. He made everything special and nothing was too much hassle- he even served my pregnant wife her Appletiser in a wine glass so she didn't feel left out of the celebrations. Would highly recommend Nathaniel's at Craigsanquar to anyone staying in the Cupar area.

We came across this restaurant recently and went in for lunch. We were given a very friendly welcome by the staff. We decided on the two course lunch which was excellent value for money. My wife had the pate and I had the mussels- both were excellent. For the main we both had fish cake with chilli jam - again it was excellent. We will definitely visit again. Also they have a sister restaurant at the Hill of Tarvit which we will also pay a visit. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.P.S. Service was very good and staff very helpful.

Welcome to The Courtyard, Cupar's newest restaurant, situated just off the Bonnygate in the town centre. We enjoy a lovely courtyard setting and have some outdoor tables for the sunnier days. With our Lunch, Dinner and Daily Specials as well as our great
Visited on Saturday 31st August with family. My meal of jumbo prawns as starter schnitzel as main and apple slices with ice cream has got to be one of the best meals I have eaten in a restaurant, couldn't fault in in any way, that coupled with excellent service, ensured it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Would certainly recommend this place

The elegant modern dining room has a relaxed welcoming atmosphere. Short hand-written menus change frequently, as they are based on local seasonal ingredients. A concise interesting choice ensures that each dish is prepared individually for each customer,
We have eaten at Ostlers several times and always enjoyed the food however last Fridayy we were disappointed. The Pigeon breast was not tasty, a little overcooked. The fish disk with five different fishes had two fish, the scallop and the monk fish definitely overcooked. I believe that a little 'stock taking' needs to happen and perhaps a visit to The Gamba to understand how fish should be cooked. We have eaten at the Gamba for 14 years, three times a year and have never had anything but a superb meal as we did last night. Our view is meant to be constructive!
