This restaurant is worth going out of your way ... unique atmosphere - small but not stifling. Must make reservations. Fascinating to see the chefs at work, making the dishes right in front of you.

Fantastic food, great service with option to sit out if weather allows. Started to rain as we went to order but waiter found us a table inside which was much appreciated. Food arrived promptly and it was amazing. Good value too. Thanks Saffron with special thanks to Che tattoo waiter :)

This pub is a real delight. With their pizza being renowned around the student population of Bristol, itâs no wonder why almost everyone I know shares the restaurant on Facebook. The staff are more than friendly, and their customer-submitted artwork is a really effective and unique touch creating a really warm and appealing interior. I would reccommend this place to anyone, and would hands down eat here every day of the week if I could.

Nicely situated dockside of the Marina, a pleasant restaurant with welcoming staff and pleasing surroundings. All it lacks is a competent chef! The quality of food offered was reminiscent of "boil in the bag" days. Nothing wrong with it - three different meals all appeared to have the same or very similar sauce on them - but very over-priced for the quality of food served. The wine least was equally over-priced, especially at the upper end. Not a repeat one for us.

We enjoyed the best Sunday lunch weâve had in ages, today - at the Birch.Roast beef was locally sourced, tender and tasted delicious.Accompanying veg were interesting and the roast potatoes perfection.Our plates were finished with a very tasty gravy and home made Yorkshire puddings.We chose a chocolate fondant and treacle tart for dessert, followed by a small shared plate of Cornish yarg cheese and biscuits served with onion chutney and a glass of superb dessert wine.Coffee had a strong rich flavour and rounded off a very good dining experience, nicely.Tom as always was simply the best host, and nothing was too much trouble for him or his brother, who ensured everyone in this beautiful bijou restaurant had the best time.Great ambience as always.

Chose this based on TA reviews. Tiny and quirky but fabulous meal and attentive and knowledgeable table service. Can recommend the leek soup and plaice starters and the hake and lamb rump mains. The "House" pinot noir is a delight. We don't visit Bristol often but this will be our dining spot of choice.

Just spent the weekend in Bristol and found TARE restaurant by chance on the internet. Many nice things said so thought we should give it a try. Two choices, meat or veggie, £44 for your complete menu. Very reasonably priced bottle of wine, attentive knowledgeable staff. Best meal that we have had in ages, lovely flavours and combinations. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, I think we will be back.

Whenever we dine at this family run restaurant we are greeted like old friends by the father and son double act. To avoid disappointment we recommend booking a table, taking your apperative in the glazed lobby overlooking the pier, and then settling down to a delicious lunch or dinner.

Ate here on Saturday, double date, had the tasting menu.Ate here again Thursday (today) off the a la carte. Both visits were amazing.A great deal of the food is grown on site, the menu is fantastically put together. Nice English white wine. Nice burgundy as well! Well worth a visit. We have dined here with friends before so when we arranged a thank you meal for someone we elected to visit again. There were 21 people attending and the restaurant didn't disappoint. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We had pre-ordered the meals except for the guest of honour . This was no problem and an extra late diner addition was easily accommodated. Everyone enjoyed the experience and the food.Thank you for your very positive comments on our food and restaurant we hope to see you in the near future .
