Twice in recent weeks, we phoned up and ordered a takeaway banquet. Each time we chose for 4 people, so we had two different banquets for 2, giving us a more than adequate selection for the family to share! Each time, there was more than enough food and in fact we couldn't eat it all. I thought the price was reasonable, the selection good, the food tasty and it was well packaged in stronger than average containers for us to drive away. As Chinese takeaways are concerned, we all feel that this is well above average, and we'd have no hesitation in going back. The only problem is the parking - which can be a bit limited at peak times due to it being in a residential area. This is a popular place with limited on street parking.

Great ambience, warm welcome and attentive service. Food was well presented and tasty, between the 9 of us we tried most of the menu and all received well - only criticism was the Salt & Pepper Ribs that were a little soft and bland.All in all very enjoyable evening and pricing reasonable.jimdiamond55Many thanks for your review following your visit to us here at Yu.So pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit to us but disappointed to hear that the Ribs where not up to our usual high standard.We do hope you will rejoin us in the not to distant future.RegardsCraig

We have been eating Chinese food the world over for over fifty years ( my wife living in HongKong for five years ) find some of the poor reviews hard to understand .I doubt that those who compare H K food to this restaurant have ever eaten the real thing as many dishes do not suit the western palet ( chickens feet ,fish heads anyone )no I guess not !My review is based on fact, we have many Chinese friends who own restaurants both in China Town and across SouthManchester / Cheshire and have eaten with them many times .This restaurant rates very well with them all.Six of us for dinner .great welcolme on arrival promptly seated ,drinks menu presented immediately ,just as it should be we like to order and take our time over the menu .Very comprehensive menu with several unusual dishes ,not your average bland choice .not sure about the pictures but it's fun and the text is large enough for people of our generation to read with ease ( other restaurants take note )we have stopped visiting some just because the lighting is poor and the text is to small! Service was fine very pleasant staff could not do enough for us not rushed and felt very comfortable .All of us enjoyed every thing we orded and the wine list was comprehensive and very fairly priced (certainly no rip off ) there are restaurant in Wilmslow who do try to take advantage but not here .All in all a great evening and at a total cost of two hundred and twenty pounds with four bottles of wine and a gratuity which is already included ( saved us working it out ) fantastic we will be back !!!!!

We have never had a bad takeaway from Flame and Wok and the delivery is usually very quick , obviously delays if ordering at 6-7pm Saturday night .. Complimentary prawn crackers of your order is over £24. The spare ribs are delicious , all the food has always been fantastic , Definitely recommend .
