I don't understand why this place gets negative reviews. I have used it for a while with no problems, and I have used others so can compare. My hubby and I always get the same thing! Chicken with garlic and black pepper, sweet sour chicken fried rice and chips. There is so much food we divide it into four, freezing two meals to eat at a later date, of course you can't freeze the chips so we eat the first meal with the chips and the second with the rice. Food is always fresh hot and tasty.

Lemon Chicken is one of my favourite Chinese dishes, and it is SO good here that I never have anything else. I've tried it in different parts of thecountry and nothing matches.

Me and a few friends decided to visit after having a few drinks in The Monkseaton Arms. We got curry fried rice and chips as they were closing up. We got the food and it looked ok so ate it. Unfortunately the next day I had a bad belly all day and was constantly on the pot. I must have lost 6lbs, my starfish was red raw and quite angry, the only reason I know it was the Chinese is because my mate went through the same events. Will not be returning.

We ordered a meal from here after been recommended from a friend, I must say we werenât disappointed. We opted for house special on spicy garlic sauce, special fried rice chips and curry sauce with a Portion of prawn crackers. The portons are generous with lots of king prawns and meat. Overall the meal was very tasty and a reasonable price of £20.40 with delivery. Will order again in the future and would recommend.

Went for the first time last night and was very impressed with the quality of all of our dishes. The prawn toasts and crispy beef were particular highlights. Will be returning soon!

Much to my disappointment my pregnant wife canât eat Indian of recent as we are spoilt with the quality of food and the high standard of accommodation offering Indian cuisine in the Tynemouth/Whitley Bay Area. So we weâre stuck with Chinese or Italians so we thought we would try chengs. This was one of those situations where you sit down, look around you and instantly wonder if you can make it out of the front door without being noticed. The carpet is so worn itâs brown, the walls havenât been painted since the 70âs, the table cloths are plastic, the toilets are a clear show of the hygiene they portrait and quite frankly I would dread to see what the kitchen was upto. All of this sometimes can be ignored if the food tastes that good but unfortunately the food matches the poor decor and lack of Chinese staff including the chefs! Never again, will travel to China town next time to taste authentic Chinese and modern decor! Please if you have any standards stay clear as £55 for two people that donât drink does not warrant this experience.
