Great tasting food. My partner and I travelled from Swindon to get a takeaway and the drive was most certainly worth it! This place is 1 thing I really miss about not living in Devizes anymore. Highly recommend the King Prawn Chow Mein, Special Fried Rice, Meaty Spring Rolls (they are massive) Pork in Black Bean Sauce, Egg Fried Rice, Crispy Seaweed etc. I was very surprised how when we back home we didnât need to heat anything up!

We have ordered from Chan Cottage quite a few times over the years and always been pleased with our food.....Until tonight when they sent the wrong dish. We rang up to ask for the correct dish to be delivered. No real apology or offer of even some prawn crackers, but they asked for the misdelivered dish to be returned! I would not order from them again as I do not like the idea of eating food that someone else has ordered and rejected.What a shame.

I was disappointed to find the buffet option was no longer available although the same 3-course selection was available for £19.95 each. However we would have had to pay £3.50 for an extra main meal dish whether it was rice, a king prawn dish or anything else for that matter. Extra starters were £2 each. We declined both. Food was quite good but not as good as it used to be. Finally, and as another reviewer mentions, we were charged £3 for the prawn crackers brought to our table at the start, we thought they were complimentary as we didn't order them. I didn't check the bill at the time and would have questioned this had I known. They won't get the opportunity to overcharge me again as we won't be returning until the owner changes his ways. I don't think he will though unless more people desert the place. There were just 10 other people in there when we went on a Friday evening. I fully expect this number to reduce in the future and as I say, we won't be returning. What are the chances of a civilised response to this review Mr Owner?

Wow food from here is ready quickly and is consistantly absolutely delicious. Last night we had capital spare ribs, chicken with mushrooms and special fried rice. All cooked to perfection, piping hot, generous amount of meat. Would definitely highly recommend.

The current family in Tsang's Kitchen have really turned it around. The old family let standards fall, but it is a delight to order from the now more extensive menu. Whether it is Chinese or Fish & Chips you are after, you can expect great quality. Favourite Chinese dishes are the Szechuan ones like Kung Po King Prawns or Chicken, or Salt & Chilli Prawns, Beef in Peppercorn Sauce, and the Peking Dumpling starter is a delight. For traditional Fish lovers the Haddock is always fresh, cooked to order and a generous size too. Watch out on Friday and Saturday nights, it's popular so the queue sometimes grows. And beware - they are closed Sundays, I've lost count of the weeks that I've forgotten that and had my hopes dashed!
