We have been ordering from Oriental Royal since we moved to Bromsgrove in 08. We tried a few other places early on but none stack up to Oriental Royal. The service is quick and always friendly. Food is consistently good. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

First impressions were that the place was newly refitted and looked smart and clean both outside and in. Beautiful light fittings, but slightly dimmer bulbs might give a bit more ambiance.The staff were welcoming and polite, although a bit more attention to empty glasses would of meant we would have ordered more drinks. On a practical level, the table got very wet, as coasters were not available.The food we order was well presented and tasted nice. Personally I would have preferred the lemon chicken to not have tasted quite sweet. Unfortunately, the time taken to bring all four of our main courses out was poor. The first main arrived, then it took about 5 minutes for the next meal to arrive, the 3 rd arrived several minutes after, with the 4th (which was the same meal as the 3rd), finally arrived about 5 minutes after the 3rd (any longer and I would of cancelled the 4th meal). We would of preferred to have waited longer for the main courses and had all 4 served together. The choice on the sweet menu was very limited, so none of our party had one. Wet hand wipes were offered at the end of the meal and very politely opened for us, however we were all very surprised that they were not warm. In my opinion a fortune cookie or chocolate with the bill would of made a nice touch As this is a newly opened business and is the only 'eat in' Chinese restaurant in Bromsgrove, I am sure it will do well . I will return at a later date, once what were hopefully teething issues are ironed out.

Having read the previous reviews we were looking forward to trying this take-away. In fact I double checked it on street view in case I'd gone to the wrong one( there are 2 in that stretch of shops) We had to throw the duck out as is was fatty. For the rest of the meal only a few bites were taken as it was so greasy and NOT good. On a positive the lady who took our order was friendly. Sorry I wouldn't go back.
