Short walk away from the Pannier Market that does simple food very well. Staff are friendly without being over tentative. The prices are very reasonable and the food is hot.It may look dated but this hides a great place to come for simple meals that the whole family will enjoy.

This seems to be a page for restaurant rather than house, mill, quay etc. So I will review the Barn restaurant next to car park. We started our visit with lunch. Nice potato/leek soup & was able to have gluten free roll, partner had coronation chicken but the roll was so thick & huge he was unable to distinguish any chicken to eat, so ended up discarding the actual roll, but there was so little chicken it was disappointing.Tea was ok but not great. Not for proper meals just light bites.Staff helpful & friendly.

Visited as a family, staff were VERY nice & we had real pastyâs in.Wanted pasties to take away but all they had were hot, took 4 but when reheated were very dry, maybe our fault?Pasties in store were tasty but very dry on the edge, possibly due to being heated for a while (it was raining)Very tasty but could do better.Hi, Thank you for your review. I am pleased you found the service to be good and the staff friendly. Our customers receiving excellent customer service is very important to us.I am disappointed however, that you found the quality of your pasty not up to our expected standard. We bake fresh pasties throughout the day and monitor quality. However, on this occasion we have let you down. We hope you visit us again soon and we can restore your confidence in us.

Eight members of our family met here for breakfast on a Saturday morning.We were all staying locally but in different places. This was our meet-up.There was a variety of breakfasts on offer which suited our differing appetites, varying from the "not very hungry", "ravenous" and the "hungover".Everyone was satisfied.Good food and swift affable service, all at a reasonable price.It is no surprise that this cafe, well out of town, is very popular.We will no doubt return when next in the area.

So hoomum and hoodad and me, the hairy hound, had walked from Cotehele to Calstock and found this cosy, quirky cafe there, with its fab choice of cakes and coffees, and much more. And what a find! Lovely sunny, dog friendly staff (with dog biccies), nom nom fresh baking smells, chinky china cups, eclectic art and quirky lamps ... Now I'm not even a cakey sort of dog, but I know delicious when I smell it, and this smelt perfect! Dooooo go!

Stumbled upon this lovely cafe when walking through the park along the river. Staff were friendly, queues werenât bad either. We sat downstairs and looked out the window, not a bad view at all. Nice coffee and nice nachos and soup. Two separate dishes of course. Spent probably around 1 hour in the shop and ordered several coffees and cold drinks. Nice ambience and space to sit upstairs or downstairs. Our furry friends are welcome too! And the prices are reasonable.

We called in here for a quick coffee and piece of cake while on a visit to Tavistock and its Pannier Market. It has a good location to sit and watch the world go by as you enjoy a very good cuppa with a truly amazing piece of cake. All was reasonably priced and served by very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone loves a bit of people watching and we have one of the best locations in Tavistock to do that. Failing that you can always close your eyes and relax in the sunshine.....hmmmmm nice....

A well placed cafe in the market with a vast and well priced menu. Went with family and friends for a late breakfast before we went around town. The breakfast was well cooked and a good size for the price. The lady behind the counter was very friendly and the two cooks were rushed off their feet but did a brilliant job.Thankyou for your kind review and we are really pleased that you found us and enjoyed the experience. So many places rip customers off and we find that happens quite a lot, especially surrounding us and even more so with the bigger names. Here at Bobs we pride ourselves on providing locally produced food at a sensible cost.We hope to see you again in the near future. All the best Bob and the team
