Esagonal is at Rifugio Sapienza, the base camp of Mt Etna where The Silvestri Craters are present. It is right next to the cable car stop. The restaurant has great views especially if you are sitting at the terrace. The wifi is free. The food is average but doable.The staff could be a bit more friendly though.

The restaurant is located, as indicated in the name, just next to the Crateri Silvestri of Mount Etna. The service was fast and efficient. Prices very reasonable when taking into account the location of the place, which is equivalent to a nice altitude mountain restaurant.

Thanks to this restaurant i decided to create an account on TripAdvisor, not because the food is delicious, oh no boy ! Seriously it was the worst dinner I had in Sicily. I wasn't expecting a fabulous meal but just a normal mexican dinner. We ordered 2 starters : nachos with guacamole and nachos with cheese and mushrooms. The first one was everything but guacamole and the second wasn't eatable. So we cancelled ours mains courses. It was the first time in my life that i quite a restaurant like that. So one advice : go away from this tourists trap :)

We were invited to enjoy dinner at this restuarant on a Saturday evening. It was interesting to immerse ourselves in the Italian culture and interpret the menu as best as we could. The food was incredible abd plentiful. My son and i split a burger and the staff was more than willing to accommodate my picky daughter. While i did not indulge in an alcoholic beverage, the drink menu was massive. Desserts were the hit if the night. Very pleased.
