We wanted to have a good meal. You can never go wrong with Big Bay. The view is just awesome. There were a lot of big group reservations so unfortunately we had to take what was left, which was a table in the doorway. The setting sun was quite disturbing, which we cannot blame on Saints. The food was good as always. The service was a bit disappointing compared to previous visits. We had to look for the waiter to get the bill and then we had to wait for the machine to pay. It could be because it was so busy.

First impressions were somewhat disappointing. The venue feels old and outdated, however the food was great and we enjoyed our dinner. Service was what you would expect. There is limited parking at the back, with alternative parking area within walking distance.

The staff need proper and corrective training here. Each time I visit this restaurant, the service remains alarmingly poor. The waitrons cannot even assist in slight deviations from the bland menu. Such a pity as the place has potential to attract many locals to support its facilities. Itâs time the owners get involved and sort out the place.

We enjoyed a lovely early lunch. Excellent drinks and meal selection. Food well prepared and presented, good value for money. Lovely desert selection. Great service and patrons are made to feel welcome and comfortable. Stunning location overlooking the ocean. Highly recommended.

Easter weekend , a time to make the most of the autumn weather in the Western Cape, travelled to Melkbosstrand ( a few kilometres from Cape Town ) to The Hart . Highly recommend this dog friendly people friendly restaurant. Very busy and if a week end would recommend a booking, fast service , many choices of eggs /combos for breakfast and the portions where large , tasty and great value topped off with excellent non intrusive service.
