Lovely spot for a pre dinner aperitif. Gorgeous little seating area outside in a small square and on the Saturday evening we visited there was a live Jazz/rock band playing just around the corner. Live football on the rather large television which delighted my husband and I was happy out listen to the music. All in all a thoroughly pleasant experience with nice friendly staff.

Found this place by chance walking along the lakeside in Malcesine, the weather was terrible but we stoped for a drink. We did not eat although they serve food, the staff are friendly and the views in good weather would be great, good place to relax a d have a drink.

Came here a couple of times as we were staying nearby. It seems to take forever to get served.First night we had pizza and it was fantastic, however, one of us had no pizza at all as they seemed to forget it! We reminded the head waiter twice and it only arrived after the rest of us had finished eating. Not good. There was no apology, no offer to take it off the bill and they even rubbed it in by clearing the plates of those who had finished. Not to mention the extra mixed salad that they added to the bill which we did not have. Despite the first night, we decided to go again. Having paid the full amount and even given them a tip the previous night we hoped that the service would have improved. We were wrong. Half an hour went by before we were asked for our drinks orders and the head waiter would not take the food order at the same time. Needless to say it was another half an hour before the food order was taken. We watched in disbelief as tables arriving after us were served first. I'm glad to say that the 'Gameboy' style ordering device seemed to work this time and we all got what we had ordered. As before, the food was lovely.Waited about 20 minutes after asking for the bill and ended up going inside to pay. In summary, we won't be going back due to the service and being sat there hungry for far too long, which is a shame considering the quality of the food.

After reading a fair few terrible reviews on her I was a bit skeptical. But once we saw the beautiful location, perfect for people watching and comfortable chairs, we thought weâd give it a try.We were greeted by a lovely lady, who gave each of us a menu. Especially for the location of the restaurant in northern Italy right in front of the lake, I expected the prices to be extortionate. But I was pleasantly surprised and there was pictures of every meal so you knew what to expect. The friendly server took our order and spoke good English. Our drinks arrived quickly and our food shortly followed.As we stuffed our faces with the complimentary bread rolls and breadsticks. We werenât overly hungry for dinner, but we managed to polish it off because it tasted so delicious.We had a check back on our table, which is so rare when youâre abroad. But that made me very happy as thatâs a pet hate of mine if it doesnât get done.We paid the bill and left a generous tip for the friendly lady who was serving as she was very attentive and helpful.Overall, it was a beautiful evening with my family, with amazing food and friendly service.

Popped in al Barchet a couple of times for a cocktail or coffee and Tia Maria after returning from an evening meal as it was just across the square from our hotel, therefore not far to totter back over the cobbles. Loved the smiley face created in the coffee, made us smile.It's a great place to sit, relax and wind down after a long day out and just take in the atmosphere and watch what's going on. Pleasant and efficient service.

Nice place, lots of wine you can choose from by the glass. We ate a nice cold platter, cheese was very good as the cold cut meat.
