We had a lovely stay in The Orange tree, lovely traditional pub. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean, we slept well and had no noise issues.Nice, tasty breakfast with local produce. Lovely, friendly staff just wish we had eaten here on steak night as the steaks looked tremendous!Show less

Never actually eaten here, but it is a great place for a drink.The staff are usually very friendly and if you have a dog they have dog biscuits! We really must call for a meal!! A great bar with an excellent selection of drinks, especially gins.The two guys are friendly fun and make you feel welcome.The secret garden was an added bonus.Friendly customers, great atmosphere, excellent decor. So please you like our bar! Hope to see you again soon.

Thirteen of us arrived for a (pre booked) lunch. The Inn is charmingly old fashioned and quaint, Very comfortable. We were made most welcome and forsook our usual beer (it is a temperance hostelry) for ginger beer and sarsaparilla, which was no bad thing, particularly for the drivers. All the food was freshly home cooked and the rabbit pie was delicious. Fine selection of deserts. The visit really was a step back in time. Great service, historically interesting and good food,

This same establishment is on your site as a hotel. I think this is an anomaly you should address. Most hotels and many pubs have restaurants - so your software should at least be able to identify the establishments

Once enjoyed this little Inn but the staff now spoil the place. Steak pie no longer excellent, simply poor to average. I honestly think the current owner has had enough, such a shame :(

We had the steak meal last Friday here - and after calling in over the last few months have seen some marked changes .. cleaner and better . The place has had an overhaul. Staff seem to be trying to improve the place. There are more real ales to chose from previously and they taste as if they are being looked after well. Tables look better and the place has had a lick of paint and some added touches that make it feel like a pub eatery. The current staff seem more clued in to customers.The steak meat was delicious and the meal very nice. They are adding in more things in the week - like a pub quiz, curry night - and some live music .. working hard to make it work .. It just needs the right clientel and enough of them as there is local competition - the club, the italian and other pubs on their doorstep ... so they will need to be consistent and keep going...and developing all the time...

Six of us had a wonderful meal here on Tuesday evening. Great service, really well cooked food and imaginative and well presented desserts. Enjoyed it so much that we returned on Wednesday evening for a repeat performance and we were all equally impressed. Recommend for great food, friendly service, old world ambience and good selection of beers.

This pub is old, but probably doesn't make the most of itself. The tired decor and furniture needs a makeover, and this would be a good opportunity to strip the gloss paint from the beams and generally celebrate the building's story. Food is generous but not terrific. Choice of beers ... especially real and cask ales ... could also be better.
