Siena 50 km, Massa Marittima 22 km) or sports activities (horse riding, mountain biking, cycling or quad biking), or just relax on the terrace of the swimming pool, enjoy a hydromassage in the hot tube or have a day at the beach.The hotel has 20 rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool, terrace, heated minipool. More than 30 years of experience in the organization of horse trips make this hotel one of the favourite destinations for riding lovers. Reviewed By R1729WRmarctThe prategiano is a very nice hotel located next to the small village Montieri, directly between the horse riding stable and the mountain for trail biking. A perfect place to go mountain biking, horseriding and relaxing at the pool. In addition, the prategiano provides a great view over the mountains, during dinner with an excellent sundowner. The food was very good and the service warm, gentle and familiar. The rooms are simple, but big enouight and sufficient for vacation. The bathrooms should be renovated at times.

The old renovated farmhouse in stone is immersed in the Colline Metallifere near Massa Marittima, it offers rooms and apartments with bathroom and independent heating, furnished with taste and simplicity. In the morning you can enjoy a hearty breakfast with homemade cakes, meats and local cheeses.

Reviewed By joldercoWonderful place to stay, Everyone went out of their way to help with things. Great rooms, good food, nice quiet location. We were bike riding and found many great roads to ride on nearby. We certainly stay here again.

Set in a former convent from the 1300s, Agriturismo Colli di Travale features a garden with sun terrace, and a hot tub. It offers en suite rooms with a rustic decor, overlooking the surrounding Tuscan countryside. A typical Italian-style breakfast is served daily and consists of homemade cakes and jams, together with fruit and vegetables grown on site. Breakfast can be served out in the garden in fine weather. With free private parking, Colli di Travale is 6 km from the centre of Montieri. Massa Marittima is a 30-minute drive from the property while Siena is 44 km away.

Agriturismo Colli di Travale has been in Antonello's family for five centuries and was renovated by Antonello not long ago. Antonello was an over-the-top host! When we travel, while accommodations are important, the people we meet define our experience. This one is imprinted and will be a memory we will reminisce about often. We loved our one-night stay... we wish we could have stayed longer! Breakfast was simply divine... everything fresh from the area... the bread, the danishes, jellies and honey, to the meat and cheese. Absolutely "delish!" Additionally, it was like we were treated to a 5-star hotel experience.. Am I gushing too much? No, not even a little. My husband and I will return Italy and we will definitely plan to stay at one of Antonello's properties for a portion of our trip.

Wonderful stay at hotel la meridiana!
Reviewed By María Rós GWe stayed at the La Meridiana hotel for 2 nights last May and had a wonderful stay! The hotel has recently been renovated in a way that is perfectly balanced between a clean modern and an Italian country style. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed (television, nice shower and bed, clothing iron, hair dryer, coffee maker etc). The breakfast buffet was also very good and simple with good bread, cakes, yogurt, granola, jam, fruits, coffee and juices. You can also order other options a la carte. The dinner menu was terrific with adventurous dishes. We had the cheese plate, Icelandic bacalao with wine pairing, wild bore ragu pasta and cheesecake. The owner, Starri was fantastic and made the stay more enjoyable. He also had great recommendations for activities in the area. I give the overall experience 5 stars out of 5 and definitely recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful hotel in the countryside.
