Reviewed By mcmurrytravelsSpent one night at this regal property. It is a beautiful concept that is pulled off well. While the surrounding land is interesting a mix of farm land and industrial, the lodging and restaurant are an oasis. Beautifully kept and inspiring. There is little not to like about the lodging and even less not to like about the restaurant. Everything is Superb. We were the only guests in the villa and it felt like our own property. The house / villa is kept consistent with the period around the turn of the 20th Century. The premise is beautifully maintained. We had 2 x rooms. The adults had the suite and our grown kids had a nice room on the third floor across a very long hallway. Beds were super comfortable. One of the better nights sleep I have had and exactly what you would want on a vacation. Bathrooms were tastefully redecorated, and bedrooms were excellently redecorated keeping old touches but with modern comforts. The grounds offers plenty of space to unwind and have a nice glass of wine and just take in the ambiance. Wifi was nice and strong Breakfast - simple but executed well and the coffee is excellent. Parking. Plenty of free parking Restaurant. Try the on-sight restaurant. If you will not be disappointed Distance to Florence. It is about 30 minutes to downtown Florence. NOTE: The staff speak no English and us no Italian. However, do not let this deter you if you do not speak Italian, you can manage with smiles and hand signals (and google translate)

It is a few minutes away from major roads, which connect to the most important cities of Tuscany. From the B & B Borgo della Rocca starting point of many trails that nature lovers will be able to follow in search of wild orchids, typical of this area. Most experts will have the opportunity to dive into the green along the many trails for hiking, enjoy the quiet mountain bike or on horseback trot for long bridle paths among the trees of the Natural Park of Monteferrato, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. In the B & B Borgo della Rocca we guarantee you total relaxation and family warmth. Our house is in complete autonomy, with private parking, fenced garden and a magnificent panoramic view to the Duomo in Florence. You will also find at your disposal tourist maps that allow you to better plan your stay.

Reviewed By captainfraserI stayed here a few weeks ago. The owners are extremely unfriendly unless you are Italian it seems, they tried to overcharge me when I left. When I questioned the extra charges the woman I was dealing with suddenly decided she spoke no English. They hire the pool area to groups of children, who come and stay all day and bring their own sound-systems and pool toys, so there isn't a quiet moment. I couldn't go in the pool at all as there were over 12 children in and around it at any one time. We asked them to turn the music down but it always went back up within a few minutes. There were also loud parties at night two of the four nights. She has no respect for hotel guests. To top it off the bathroom for my room had not been cleaned. And I won't share the details. There are plenty of nicer, quieter, more friendly hotels nearby. Air con in the rooms doesn't work. There are no shops or restaurants nearby, so it's not a great location if you suddenly find you can't spend the day by the pool. Ruined my holiday.
