Great hotel for a stopover in Porto Santo Stefano
Reviewed By David SGoing to a wedding in central Italy and decided to go to the coast for one night for swimming and beach. We came across Santo Stefano on the net and decided to look for somewhere to stay. As it was the busiest time in August, we had great difficulty, but Bike and Boat hotel called me to say they could give us a family room for 1 night. The hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful to us in booking and when we arrived. They went out of their way to help us make the most of the time we were there, recommending restaurants, places to see and directions to a fantastic sandy beach. Room was fab and the breakfast was excellent. They also hired bikes, but as we were only there for 1 night, we decided against this. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Torre di Cala Piccola is dislocated in different buildings along the hill, connected by small paths and flowerbeds beside the cliff. You can choose among 50 sea sight rooms, furnished with very fine taste.

Reviewed By KsksksksksVery nice location with great views of Ligurian sea. Quiet, good place to relax. Good beach(rocks), at the bottom of the hill, take the car if you do. It want to have steep walk back. Restaurant is ok, although you want better option nearby. Connectivity is a bit of an issue, if you want to be connected(mobile or WiFi)

Reviewed By atl555We spent few days in the suite Letizia, which offers a large space well furnished with a very nice terrace and a great seaside view. The service has been great, the cleaning lady was very nice and professional. Among the downsides: - the breakfast was not super- we found that the croissants were not good/fresh as you may expect from a hotel if this category - the private beach is ok but a little bit small and quite close to the road- we enjoyed it nonetheless We found this place is a good pick in relation to its price

Very noisy
Reviewed By MichaelN744Might be a good hotel in an excellent location but greatly mismanaged. The food at the restaurant is terrible. For the breakfast you gave to wait in a queue 20 minutes while the waiter puts limited food on your plate. They clearly do not think about adding another guy to speed up. The selection at breakfast is terrible - the cheese is a shame for Italy as they save money and buy cheapest instead of Pecorino. The same with everything - not even boiled eggs, you have to ask and wait and wait. At dinner the local chef makes mediocre food. However the most terrible thing is the noise from air conditioners, which are gigantic machines and work like tractors. Forget about decent sleep and rest. Truly shameful for Mercury and the management because even one single guest stay would give them more than enough money to put silent devices.

Reviewed By 80bethStayed for 4 nights, wish it could have been longer. Food was superb morning , noon and night. Breakfast was varied with a great choice could not fault it. Coffee great too. Our other meals were superb, beautiful presentation , great quality ingredients and tastes to die for. Everywhere was spotless with very friendly and professional staff. Our room was great too, spotless with nice touches. Golf course staff and facilities brilliant too. Can't wait to return.

Hotel was never updated since it was build in 60s, this hotel very hard to find because it is all the way on top of the hill, prices at the restaurant are outrageous (Talk about overpriced meals), no one eats there because there are no patrons at the hotel (GHOST TOWN). Breakfast consists of nothing but cakes and more cakes (not for diabetics). You will need a car to get down to Porto Santo Stefano but driving back up through unlit, narrow turns will be a challenge.

Very central location and a lovely view out across the harbour. Accommodation was clean and comfortable and at least as expected for the rating of the hotel. It seemed good value to us.

Reviewed By vittorio_dxbI stayed at Argentario Lagoon resort in July for 1 week, with some friends. The resort is absolutely stunning, immersed in a green paradise. The perfect location for those who want to get some break from stressful city lives. The staff is very friendly and eager to help in every situation. Pearl of the resort is the restaurant, you can enjoy delicious meals meticulously prepared by the chef Gabriele. All in all, 5 stars with no doubt!!! I’ll be back soon for sure!!
