Mithymna (Greek pronunciation: [ˈmiθimna]) (Greek: Μήθυμνα, also sometimes spelled Methymna) is a town and former municipality on the island of Lesbos, North Aegean, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Lesbos, of which it is a municipal unit. Before 1919, its official name was Μόλυβος - Molyvos; that name dates back to the end of the Byzantine Era, but is still in common use today.

Good food. A romantic place to eat at night by sunset. View on the boats of the old port. And sitting on the typical Greek chairs and tables. Order the catch of the day in combination with other traditional Greek plates and of course ouzo!

We had an excellent dinner there.nice atmosphere and hidden treasures in cooking that are not writen on the menu.ask stratos or komis for special plates like steamed shark fillet with lemon and garlic. It was an experience. ....

A traditional, authentic, family run taverna which serves excellent Greek food. It's very relaxed and friendly, with helpful waiting staff. It's a little away from the main tourist areas and doesn't have the great scenic views of some restaurants but it more than makes up for this with the food and ambiance. Ask for the specials which are all home cooked. Prices reasonable and music on some nights. Apparently, it's open all year round and has a faithful local following.

You must definitely try Lamb in kettle with zucchini, lamb with prunes, Stifado, Gyros and the best grilled beef fillet.Perfect for breakfast-lunch-dinner for couples-families-singles. I cannot recommend this place enough. We happened upon this wonderful restaurant while walking the gorgeous, wisteria covered cobblestone streets of Molyvos. It's a little bit of a hike up the hill, but it is well worth it! The food was so good that my mother who has two bad knees and walks with a cane made the hike 4 times to go here during our stay! The food is incredible...their greek salad was the best we had anywhere (and we had it everywhere! haha). I never had anything here that was subpar in any way. Their ouzo is incredible and Giorgos, the owner, is very friendly and we had many a great conversation with him during the times we went here. The views from the balcony cannot be beat. If you are an American coming here and thinking you'll get a quick bite to eat this isn't your place (nor are most sit-down restaurants on Lesvos). The food here is meant to be enjoyed and you are not rushed for payment. But, truly, you will hardly want to leave this place at all once you are there. I feel like i left a lot of pieces of my heart at various places on Lesvos, and this was definitely one of them. I will miss it dearly until I find a way back to this wonderful island again.

Good food I enjoyed stuffed tomato & pepper sat out on the balcony which has wonderful views over the bay watching the sunset and the lights coming on in the villages in the hills.

Visited for evening meal, four of us. Just asked for Greek meal for four. Absolutely fabulous, the food just kept coming, salads, dolmades, patatas, fried courgette flowers, fish, stuffed aubergines and more. Five bottles of wine all for less than £50 wonderful. A must if you are in Petra but, please book or you may be disappointed.

I think this restaurant is one of the best of Lesvos.Salads,main dishes,house red wine,kalamari are so delicious.The mixed dips plate is not so good,normal.The prices are good enough, the service is so kind and lovely.2 person good dinner just 35 euro.
I certainly offer this restaurant.

Just arrived back in Petra, first stop Kalderimi. New ordering system using computers ensures swift service even when busy. Some may think they are rushing you through, but, there is no pressure to leave. The food is still first class and the staff wonderful. A warm welcome awaits everyone. Grills are the speciality.
