Beautiful Hotel - One of the best

Majestic location overlooking the Thames. Beautiful grounds and hotel. We went for a late night walk after a lovely meal around the 62 acre grounds and bumped into a herd of deer! The hotel backs onto the Thames but elevated. There are viewpoints in the grounds too to relax and soak up the beautiful views. We walked from the hotel along the river to both Henley and Marlow, Henley walk is better as it's more open to the river. Both towns filled with great pubs and top notch restaurants. There are also regular buses going to and from the two towns which stop at the hotel so I didn't drive at all during my stay. Used the spa regularly, sauna, steam room, pool also had a great massage one day as well. Stayed for 3 nights in a deluxe room for our anniversary. The room is very classy. High ceilings, luxurious decor, spacious, access to shared terrace and amazing views again. Had a lovely breakfast brought to the room on 2 mornings which just added to luxury. It was a perfect trip. Thank you Danesfield House!

Crowne Plaza Marlow, an IHG Hotel

Never even went to stay as the hotel was so diabolical

Reviewed By stephencrossley47

Avoid this hotel at all costs the hotel manager is rude and extremely unprofessional staff fail to inform guests as to major changes for example there is no longer an executive lounge at this hotel the only hotel I’ve ever come across where they say they had no personal details to inform us of such major amendments and also how can anyone justify a £30 upgrade for a king size bed and a mini bar which in fact is just a fridge with soft drinks in it the hotel is like faulty towers luckily I managed to cancel my booking and didn’t have to go

The food

Visited with my partner. I had the chicken burger and my partner had the beefburger. The food was cooked to perfection by the new chef, the chicken was succulent while my partner said it was the best burger he had had in a long time. The onion rings were freshly hand made and filling and well presented. Would highly recommend the dog and badger and will be visiting again. Serviced by Ryan. He was friendly and polite, very welcoming. Thank you

This is a cosy, unpretentious English hotel. A little rundown but with charm. Good value for money because of the generous full-English breakfast included. Smallish room but very clean. Bags were carried up a narrow staircase. Our room was quiet and comfortable.

Not up to usual Premier Inn standard

Reviewed By Getaway987654321

This is a listed building so there are acceptable restrictions which come with that (no lift, odd/low ceilings) but my room and I assume the others too, were pretty tired. Non-functioning shower, problems with door keys and a complete lack of cleaning "due to Covid" which I don't think is a valid excuse anymore. Breakfast was pretty decent and bed was comfy but room was just not great and a bit smelly.
