Yavatmal ( pronunciation (help·info) is a city and municipal council in the Indian state of Maharashtra. It is the administrative headquarters of Yavatmal District. Yavatmal is around 150 kilometres (93 mi) away from divisional headquarters Nagpur while it is 670 km (420 mi) away from the state capital Mumbai. The name is derived from the Marathi Yavat (mountain) and mal (row).

My title itself is enough to explain the whole thing about this sukhkarta restaurant!! I live just 5km away from this restaurant and so went for dinner with my 2 friends there because we all were planning for vegetarian food. The starter and main course was delicious but all goes in vain just because of very poor service. It was not a weekend nor any festive period and very few people were sitting in the hall but not a single waiter asked for anything to us. After the dinner they took around 15 minutes just to serve our desert. It was highly disappointing for us.

Without a doubt, Surah Delight is the best restaurant that I have been to in Yavatmal. It has a fixed menu system, which may seem like a drawback at first, but the variety they offer is just brilliant.For just Rs. 250 per person over dinner, we get a crazy menu and spread. There's a welcome drink, about 3-4 starters, 5-6 main course dishes, buttermilk, papad, 3-4 varieties of bread, 2-3 varieties of rice, a dessert and then my personal favorite - a paan shot! The quality is just as good and there is no way one can leave the dinner table at Suraj Delight without a hearty meal.They also offer lunch at a slightly lesser rate and a slightly lesser spread. Having had that lunch as well, I can say that one leaves the lunch table too just as full. The only small drawback, if I were forced to point one out, would be that the service is slightly on the slower side. However, the ambiance, variety and food quality more than makes up for it. It's the ideal place for an excellent family hangout.

I have had about 10 visits to this restaurant since its inception, and it is an excellent place to go for dinner. The ambiance is easily the best anywhere in Yavatmal, and the food is very good too.There were some issues and delays in service during 2-3 visits, but that was a while back, when the restaurant was still new. Over my last 5-6 visits, I haven't had any reason for complaints.As of now, this is amongst the best dining places in Yavatmal.

Cetan Dhorajiwala is a old sweet mart of Yavatmal. All types of Indian sweets and snacks are available here with normal rates. Place to sit & eat is available. But not for lunch or dinner.
