Hidden Gem, stunning location, gym literally next door, amazing hosts
Reviewed By Guide73872This place is a hidden gem, is such good value for money and right by a beautiful beach. the owner Mr P is such a good host, he helped us out loads and sorted me out with mosquito coils, showed me around his amazing hydroponic garden and even gave me a lift too the ferry terminal. Will 100% be back next time.

In line with most establishments in Thailand , many facilities like the restaurant hadn't opened at the time I visited . Well located , only a few hundred yards from the beach , and a few minutes walk to the main road , where you will find a good selection of shops and restaurants . Nice , well maintained , decent sized pool . The rooms are modern , comfortable , and spotlessly clean . Didier , the owner , was charming and welcoming . I just hope that business picks up for him ( and other owners ) .

Broken facilities, poor hospitality and staffs lack of training.

Muddy and rocky beach. -@ Second, broken AC which is an unfortunate thing to happen, but it can be fixed. @Third, hospitality and satffs service mind this can also be fixed with the right training. @Lastly, our experience, we tried to give a chance to the hotel to fix until the end but they chose not to do anything about it. Very disappointed!! And this cannot be fixed! We booked and stayed in one of their beachfront villa for a night and we paid double (over $ 100) as it was a long weekend. And it was very disappointed with their hospitality/service mind mostly from just a broken AC in our villa. It started dripping in the middle of the night (it was over our bed), we tried to ignored it and turned our heads to the other side of the bed, but it keep dripping and getting worse soaked up half of our bed. So, we couldn't sleep any longer and decided to seek help by calling reception, but one answer. We then walked up and found a security guy, he went to wake someone up, who he called Captain. We explained our problem to the Captain and politely asked him to please open a new room for us to sleep. He has to call another person to help us (someone from reception office), and go back to his room. We were waiting for 15-20 mins at the lobby and a lady turned up walking here and there and not a word from her. She then handed the key of a new room to us said "the new room is next to your room". There is absolutely NO hospitality manner at all from these two staffs, not even a simple "Sorry for the inconvenience". And I would expect someone to walk us to our new room, not letting us go in the dark at nearly 4am. We expected that we'd be treated better and our issue from last night would at least being recognised with the price we paid (over $100) and get compensation for that really. But nothing happened, so we raised it up during checkout and the answer we've got was we booked through Agoda and nothing they can do about it, but they can give discount on F&B (really?) which wasn't an option for us as we were leaving by boat. I can always accept that things can happen, but when they choose to don't do anything about it. It's unacceptable for me.

Great place to stay for getting on the ealy morning ferry
Reviewed By mnm_travellingWe arrived in the late evening and left early morning the next day. The manager Sugar welcomed us right off the taxi and showed us to our bungalow. We had a couple of great drinks at the bar , also made by Sugar. The resort and the bungalow are very clean and pleasant. There is a back gate right on to the ferry terminal, which is about 250m of walk.

Reviewed By Andy SWonderful time, the resort is beautifully maintained with a group of cabins or bungalows sited around a pool with views of sea ann other islands. The resort is owned and managed by a Thai lady, who also cooks excellent Thai dishes on request. It is situated in a very quiet area above the nearby town. Highly recommended.

Found Calm Among the Lotus Ponds

Overlooking rice terraces, lotus ponds, and the Samui mountains - Farmer’s Boutique Resort is a perfect retreat from the island’s upbeat beaches and hustle & bustle. I stayed at Farmer’s Resort after a 7 day silent meditation retreat and it was the perfect place to relax and ground. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly staff and I was upgraded to the pool villa. I was traveling solo and the villa was huge - it could easily fit a family of 3/4. The room was cozy and spacious and I spent most of my time in the room. Beautiful view, private pool, comfy amenities, room service, and great wifi…what more could I ask for? Loved the design of the room - sleek wooden floors, high ceilings, and semi outdoor shower. It was farm chic meets classic Thailand. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The staff set up the breakfast spread on my porch every morning, while I gazed at the lotus flowers. Be sure to watch sunset on your porch as well - it’s the best with a glass of wine! Location is very close (about a 5 minute drive) to the Maenam ferry port and about a 10-15 minute drive to Bophut. I was heading to Koh Tao on the Lomprayah ferry the following morning, so staying at Farmer’s Resort was perfect. There are also complimentary bike rentals at the resort if you want to explore town, the resort, or head to Maenam beach. Highly recommend staying at Farmer’s Boutique Resort for a relaxing retreat in Koh Samui. It was my favorite stay during my time in Koh Samui!

My Thai paradise
Reviewed By Denny WStayed at the Shacks again and as usual another excellent stay. I will certainly be back. Met some fantastic people here and really enjoyed their company. C2/Lea was just a banana pancake demon!! If you want 5 star service then I suggest you go to a 5 star resort.
