Reviewed By Benfamily11We are a family of 10 adults occupying 5 rooms, 4 of them were inadequately supplied with essentials. When bathroom tissue was requested, it was not available from front desk. Fortunately we brought our own tissues from the van. Large visible door gaps in 2 rooms with warning of mosquitoes from bellboy, our rooms were next to fish pond), we improvised with towels. Internet was very slow, answer from front desk was the technician will be back to repair in few days! This hotel caters meetings and offers breakfast for large group with a fee (without staying). There were close to 100 people from 2 big buses at 8 am when we were there, we ran into each other and scrambled for food On the plus side, more selection of free breakfast for guests that morning I told front desk there was a cockroach in the bathroom we saw that morning, not sure if she cared or documented it It is not worth paying about $60-$70 a night when we were there, we could have stayed elsewhere for less and better service My overall score is 4/10 for this hotel and would not recommend it

Each of our Villas offers 4 to 6 units ensuring guest privacy and serenity with some units close to our pools and lobby area for convenience and some along our beautiful hillside and surrounded by extensive landscaping. The individual sites range in size from 90 to 375 sq. m, including large private balconies that open to magnificent views of rolling hills and verdant forests.
A gem hidden in the Hills
Reviewed By jonagarOur stay was too short!! The staff made us so welcome and we are still cherishing our experience there. Everyone had smiles and wishes for us. The Maître D Mr Wah spread smiles and cheer each morning we went for Breakfast; greeting and serving. He made sure every one enjoyed the food. The environment was spectacular; as though we were in a National Park. The well maintained park in the property had some lovely animals and birds. The Jacuzzi was a large heated pool. The Suites were large and well decorated. We have been to over a hundred hotels and resorts in the many years we have been here and we can honestly say this is by far one of the best. Well, one could go on but I think there aren't enough words to express our gratitude, specially because we had gone there to celebrate our 45th Wedding Anniversary.

Reviewed By pwstmindBooked through booking dot com and was given wrong room type, smoking room, no towels, closet with no hangers, bathroom window has a clear veiw from next door but guy at hotel said windows are tinted. Fine during day but when light is on in room they can see you well. Attitude from front desk even after all the issues. Noisy from road which I expected but can hear both next room and room above clearly. I would inly stay here as a last resort and its not, many other choices nearby.

A place in total abandon and decay after having a “glorious” past!
Reviewed By Verónica PThe supposed NY Manager is nowhere to be seen, staff are on their own, acting with minimal care and a great lack of enthusiasm. Most of the rooms are infected with bugs that staff do not even bother to clear them out before the guests’ arrival, despite the very few guests in attendance. The pool is disgustingly dirty and in an absolute stage of abandon. The only good thing about this place was the remarkably good food. However, I would not recommend to order the chocolate lava cake, since they do not use a good quality chocolate, making a total disservice to this otherwise exquisite dessert. The hotel is actually located quite far from Chiang Rai town and about an hour or so to the White Temple and Blue Temple, so consider this if you had planned to go to these places easily from the hotel. We had a sad experience here, since one can tell how gorgeous once upon a time this place was so to witness the current decay is depressing, to say the least!

Reviewed By farihae2015We are staying in the superior view mountain room. The views from the room and hotel are stunning and make you want to stay here all day! The room itself is convenient, clean and large. There are flying insects everywhere but I don’t think we can blame the hotel for that! The owners are very warm but did not really speak English. We had a punctured tyre and they immediately helped us without a second thought. Food options are limited but actually pretty good! Overall, we are very happy with this resort, especially considering it’s 2 star status.

Reviewed By indranuhatibased on earlier reviews we decided to stay one night on 9th October. Since we were reaching at night we ordered dinner in advance. good thai food Served in the room. Next morning got a feel of the resort. Located on a hilltop with nice views of the forest. Highly recommend the resort

Reviewed By Ida DI stayed one night with my boyfriend,we can't remember the last time we slept so well! We arrived in the morning with a bus from Chiang Rai and the Thai-French owners arranged to pick us up at the junction where the bus dropped us off. They rented us a scooter (300B a day) and we spent the afternoon riding through tea plantations - Highly recommend!! The day before, we arranged to have dinner by the guesthouse and it was DELICIOUS!! You don't need to think about anything, just tell them if you like spicy food or not and be ready to eat...a lot! :) Breakfast was simple but enjoyable, a special mention goes to the pineapple jam! We super recommend this place and we will definitely be back if we happen to be in Mae Salong!

Tranquil Mountain View Resort
Reviewed By TravelcharrrIf you’re looking for a full day and night of activities, this is not the place. But if you’re looking to relax and recharge, this tranquil resort is perfect. Located up in the mountains, you’ll need a driver to get around. There aren’t attractions or restaurants nearby. This is however made up with the peacefulness and great service the resort has to offer. Expect to enjoy a delicious spread of breakfast with a breathtaking view, amidst fresh air and the sound of nature. We were the only guests during our two nights stay, and the friendly staff took great care of us, preparing our meals, sharing recommended places to visit and arranging a driver for us. We are very happy with our stay.
