Excellent service! Great value for money. Portions are very large. Wide variety of seafood, meat dishes and cooked food, to choose from. They have almost everything! Friendly and clean enviroment. Nice view at the sea. Food is not amazing but is very good. Place looks a little bit "cheap" in comparison with other shops at the area, but it has better food and it's cheaper and this is what matters when it goes for food.

We found the Strouga as we wanted to eat in a good taverna, rather than the hotel dining room at the large Casino Hotel where we were spending the night, The Strouga is about a mile down the road. The restaurant was quite busy, with plenty of local people.The nice manager found us a table, and suggested a number of dishes. We all(4) chose the rabbit cooked with onions, it was delicious - bags of good meat and excellent flavours. Three courses each with house red and white wine cost about 60euro for four. We would certainly return.

Travelled through and wanted some quick and tasty to eat. Opted for pizzas and were not disappointed. Great food, served quickly, tasty and served with nice cold beers.

Visited this restaurant with my family all 16 of us - the service was fantastic and the views phenomenal- with regards to the food there was not much choice for small children and vegetarians- the hamburger is not like what children would expect eg in a bun - the lamb chops & pork steak were great.

Food is very good but there is big problem with service. Waiters are totally amateurs and they can not do their job well. It is totally but for this great effort of owner to give good quality's plates to the town.

Very busy restaurant with fast service, prices are a bit more expensive for the quality and taste of the dishes but it is acceptable due to the location of the restaurant. The dishes are common traditional greek food well cooked and good quality for most of the dishes I tryied apart from the mussel saganaki which was not good and we did not eat it.

We just went there for some desserts and drinks.The service was extremely slow, it took 15 minutes to get seated or even some attention from the staff after passing us several times. After the desserts, we took a nice walk along the shore line over the rocks and through the forest. Great walk!

No wonder this place comes out at the top! Number one!
Food is very traditional Greek, a very welcoming staff and great "old" interior to create a great ambience.
Our second visit did not let us down. You cannot say its cheap, more mid range but worth that little extra. ALL dishes so far have been so tasty and much better than other tavernas offerings. From lamb in the oven, Imman (aubergines), pork from the oven, to sardines. Greek salad to Cretan salad.
If you dont know Loutraki, make your way to the Fountains at the end of the town then ask as it is tucked up a side street, flanked by a supermarket and a vegetable shop. Fasade is not too inviting but trust us reviewers, we tell the truth!
